Fisher-Evidently is not worth redshirting - and just rides the pine. If you can’t steal some of Sheldon’s minutes then something is lacking here. That’s a miss.
Kuany-Not contributing. Miss.
Sheldon-Miss. It’s criminal he plays 30+ minutes per game. In the portal/NIL era, it’s criminal he’s been on this roster for four seasons and getting Luka Doncic minutes. He should have been told to leave after last season. Sticking with Sheldon for four seasons has been one of Boals worst decisions as Ohio Head Coach.
Mosley- Incomplete…hurt…TBD.

This is really baffling to me. After the UMass game -- where both Burris and Conners played well -- and you could feel the impact of their spacing on Simmons and Pavs, it felt like the very obvious play was to give them minutes, let them work through their lumps and build confidence. Instead, 8 and 3 minutes last night respectively.

And that's all in favor of 35 plus minutes for Sheldon.

It's very clear Burris is the best shooter on the team. I have no doubt he's a bad defender. But this team is so desperate for shooting that you have to be open to making that trade off, especially given the fact that Sheldon isn't exactly an elite defender himself.

Just bad coaching.

Speaking of the off-season additions -- what exactly did Breath do to see his role so diminished. Can anybody explain that?

What does mismanaged mean to you though?

Piggy backing off of Bobcat1998, mismanaged or miscoached — I actually thought Breath would come in and potentially start at the 5, given his body of work and rebounding/paint defensive strengths at UNCG over the last two seasons.

He’s not and that’s fine, but he’s barely playing 14mpg with us after playing 22mpg a season ago and Boals refuses to put him on the court with Simmons. For a team that’s lacked so much proven size over the year, I really don’t understand that and have hard time looking at Breath as a portal failure.

His usage is down and his playing time consists of shorter stints. No wonder his production overall is down. He’s not being used the same he was at UNCG where he led the SoCon in defensive rating and defensive rebounding % last season; and led it the year before in offensive rebounding %.

It’s the same issue with Dior. His 3PT production is down for similar reasons. Meanwhile, as Bobcat1998 had pointed out, Hadaway and Sheldon continue to run wild.

All these "Misses" you guys point out are players you fondled over when they were announced as coming here. Evidently you missed as well.

Exactly, we are analyzing from the cheap seats. He's the one paid the big bucks to sort out the wheat from the chaff. Jim Snyder was legendary in his ability to find the diamonds in the rough (some right in our backyard). It seems in recent years Boals as been finding fools gold. They look good on the surface, but aren't the genuine article. We cheap seaters get fooled also!
