...to EMU this weekend?

I attended the BG loss.  I went to the Toledo game last night.  Those were the only 2 games I have been to this year, and I am starting to feel like a bad luck charm... I was really looking forward to sweeping the west and gaining huge momentum going into the back half of east play, but now I'm not sure we can win another game after seeing that garbage meltdown last night.  My wife and I didn't make it to the game til halftime, and I think the best part of that game was receiving free tickets from the guy at the door.  Sloppy passes, extreme lack of boxing out, missed layup+1 opportunities, free throws were a travesty... the team lacks a lot of fundamentals.  Yeah we have a lot of ugly wins, but when we lose, the problems are magnified 1000%.  I am still planning on going up there this weekend, but after the games I've been to, I am a little more hesitant...

Just go up there and wear an EMU shirt to extend your bad luck to them.

Don't feel alone in your travels.  I have witnessed all games home and away(exception Portland) and it is not you.  This team really lacks true leadership on the floor and a real strong big man who wants to box out and be competitive.  Nothing against Reggie and Ivo.  They are not what we need  inside.  Reggie can't make shots and Ivo wants to shoot outside.  THEY DO NOT BLOCK OUT.  THEY DON'T GO TO BASKET!!

Actually I thought that Pearson proved to be a great great player.  We could not stop him and we then got frustrated.  He was a true leader for Toledo.  Coach indicated that we were not intense and I agree.  Toledo wanted it more than Ohio. Another contribution to our loss was the substutions when we had the 14 point lead,  Putting Ethan and Goard in was a big mistake by Groce.  This is when we went soft for twenty minutes.  We got no lift from anyone during that time period.  Just like BG

See you at EMU!!  Looking for number 20!!

I figured I wasn't alone - so maybe it's not just me. I have been at every away loss we have this year - aarrggh!

I was in one of the suites, entertained by business friend in Toledo, wearing my green OHIO polo, surrounded by Rockets fans, harassed by "Rockie" (mascot), and when we were up 15-0 feeling pretty smug, almost embarrassed for them.

Then - we fell on our face, and I wanted to bury mine. I agree, that sub decision when we were up big still fairly early MADE ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AT ALL - WE GAVE THEM THE MOMENTUM AND THEY RAN WITH IT!

Oh - and forgot to mention. I was going to go to Ypsilanti. Now - NOT!

Win or lose, I've never regretted going to away games. It's always a good experience. Sometimes that has to do with what happens outside the game, but they would not have happened without the game drawing us.

I will inevitably make the trip tomorrow because I love watching the Cats and it is way better than watching a crappy online feed.  Hopefully the roads won't be too bad on my trip up from Perrysburg... Getting to 20 wins can give us some momentum, and we need some confidence going into the end of the season.  See you all there!

I completely agree.  I've made two road trips this year after not having gone to an away game in a number of years.  Makes me regret missing trips to places.  Besides that, it's kinda fun being the load minority in the arena with all the home crowd looking at you.

Seems like we really lack depth at the 4/5 position.  Smith, Goard and Jacobs do not seem to be giving us much offensively.  Can't play 4v5 for many minutes and really be successful vs the better MAC teams.

Something I've learned: when the majority of the games you attend are road match-ups you start to feel like a bad luck charm. The win percentage of road game in the MAC really aren't in your favor.

But as someone said, rarely is a road trip a bad experience in the MAC, even if the Bobcats lose.

I believe the term is "Life on the road in the MAC."
