interesting matchup listed in the latest Lunardi Bracket- he's got the MAC Champ (in this case its Akron) as a 14 seed playing against 3 seed Georgetown in Columbus.

Can you imagine if that was OHIO v Georgetown in Columbus?? obviously these brackets don't mean anything but its fun to think about what if. That would be a hella fun game.

What's most dissapointing is that 3 weeks ago, we were in the 'last four out' column.  Since then, we have not lost a single game, and yet are nowhere to be found . . .   Thanks MAC west!

Am I the only one that finds Lunardi to be among the most annoying talking turds on ESPN?

How about CBSsports.com's latest Bracketology listing Northern Iowa among the last four out?  Northern Iowa has a higher RPI than us, but at 16-9, below .500 in their league and a head-to-head blowout loss to us on their home floor, that would be a bitter pill to swallow if they were selected over us somehow.  It's amazing what one good win can do but another example of how weak the bubble teams are this year - if we keep winning, particularly against the East, I think the committee will have to take notice.

UNI has played a considerably tougher schedule than we have.  They've played 6 teams in the top 50 in RPI and are 3-3 against them.  Their schedule is what we should be aiming for.  They only played two teams OOC with RPI's ranked over 200.  They are greatly helped by the fact that their in-state big schools (Iowa, Iowa State) are willing to play them on the road.  But their schedule is tough, but not too tough, every year.   Our RPI should go up quite a bit if we are able to win the East though.

Yes, this is a knee-jerk reaction after the Toledo loss, but I hope we can all now agree the "at-large" talk is done for the season.

Everything now rides on trying to get the best seed possible for Cleveland.

Oh, it's done...the team buried any glimmer of it tonight...losing to a 200+ RPI team

When a thread about Ohio's At-Large chances pops up on BA, the chances of an Ohio loss in the next game go up 71%.  True story.

That shouldn't be an issue the rest of the year then.

You never know. The Bobcats could rip off the next six in a row again and set up the talk again right before the game at Miami.
