Consider:  We aren't that talented.  Check the actual activity on the court this year:  We have a lot of reasonably solid players.  But nothing more than that.  Lack of stars hurts us.

Is it season-ending damaging that every other team in the East won tonight?  No.  But it's not a good indication.

Didn't realize we were up 15-0 until I got on the board. Guess you can get away with that at home (up 29-14 on WMU and it became a white knuckler). Not so easy on the road.

Jacobs came in at the media time out

Toledo was already rolling  going from 15-0 to 26-12. He did not help his case with 2 fouls but the momentum had shifted. He left the game at 26-22 us and subsequently the "starters" let 26-22 us balloon to 36-30 them. Those same starters made important half time adjustments and executed flawlessly letting UT run to 49-38 before the first subs came in.

I think we can lay this entire blame on Jacobs and poor coaching. It obviously, according to the actual play by play and much vaunted eyeball test, has absolutely nothing to do with poor execution and "soft " play, 18 foot fadeaways over a guy who is 4-5 inches shorter or crappy shot selection.

The lackluster performance finally caught up with Groce. Aside from the improbable tournament run two years ago (more credit should go to Bassett than Groce), he's a lousy conference coach. This coaching staff is missing something.

What the coaching staff is seemingly missing is the ability to develop the big men.  The two biggest guys we have that play routinely play smaller than they actually are.  Not all the time, but there have been only a few games this year where Ivo and Reggie have both played huge roles in the same game.  That frustrates me because I've seen a lot of games where Ivo has, or could "own" the guys guarding him in the post because of his quickness advantage.

As far as the big men go, hasn't Blove preached this many times. We have a former point guard specializing as our big man coach...right? Dustin Ford.....please correct me if I'm wrong.

Would you have Roseanne Barr coaching super models?

Something doesn't add up with a 5-9 guard coaching 6-8 post players.

We could really use the energy that Rhodes and Kuwik added to the game.

Dont' forget that they added energy to the game because often times the head coach did not.

I really like Dustin Ford, but the points about him as a "big man" coach are intriguing.  The guy that I miss the most as a coach is Rhodes because I felt like he coached up the big guys well.

Confusing Bobcat Love with SBH. Not sure which one is more insulted.
