Like the team seemed to be, I kind of checked out as a fan for a week.  I caught some of the EMU game on the radio, but did not listen to the entire game.  Why only 4 minutes for Ivo in that game?  This site has been really quiet and I haven't seen one thread mentioning him.  Is he hurt or was it a coach's decision to not play him?  The team needs him to be healthy and effective if there is any kind of postseason run at all.

He had hurt his knee in Friday's practice.

I think he's probable for tonight's game.

Agree that Ohio needs him to be playing well if we are going to have any kind of run at the end of the season.

I hope his knee is okay and I agree we do need him to make a run but we also need him to step up and get a little more aggressive.  I like Ivo as a player and he can turn into a huge MAC player if he steps it up.  Ivo can be a beast if he wants to be.

The Ivo that abused Julian Mavunga is what I would like to see. He obviously took it as a personal challenge when he was facing him, and he kept us in the game when Miami couldn't miss from outside.

Your thought goes exactly what I've been saying about Ivo.  He's absolutely OWNED a few guys down low this year.  When he makes a focused effort at getting to the rim, and not using the fade away too much, he's really tough for a lot of the MAC to stop.

Ivo's game, much like out team's, is best against man-to-man defenses.

I thought he played well last night vs. the zone.  He knocked down some solid 16 ft jumpers facing the hoop and made some solid passes from the high post.  He is much better against man-to-man because of his footwork, but it was nice to see a good game from him last night.

I enjoyed his turnaround fadeaway with nobody guarding him last night.

Noted:  we had someone at the high post that could pass or knock a jumper down.
