Anyone who didn't list Andy Hipsher doesn't remember him hitting a game winner in double OT and running through the OZone while grabbing his crotch.
The Grandma Hipsher antics actually happened a year after that did.
And after all of their family's antics Dambrot may be even less likable than Coach Hip. At least he didn't burn his 3 remaining TOs in the last minute this year.

Wonderful conversation. The Hipshers. What fun that family must have at Thanksgiving . . .
I really hate Akron. Whooping them by 24 last night can only be topped only by whooping them by 25 points in 12 more days.

It's really amazing all the stuff that's happened between these two programs over the past 12 years or so. I voted for Grandma Hipsher, but it was really a toss-up.
You gotta also remember the hatred by the McKnight brothers toward Ohio. They hated O'Shea.
Weren't the Zips chippy toward one another last year too?

Jeff, was it the McKnight brothers? I've been told by some here in Newark (the McKnights belong(ed) to a Newark church) that it was the dad who had a problem with O'Shea.

McNees' easy one for me. Seemed like he was there forever - wish he still was, I really enjoyed hating him!

I don't hate any of the Zips, they're all too lame to get mad at. Poor Zeke the Meek, always on the verge of tears, Steve McCheese with that dopey haircut, McClownahan always whining about the refs, the list goes on...

I'm surprised there's this much dislike for McNees. He's the kind of guy I would want on my team. He elevated his game in crunch time and made a lot of big plays at big moments. He was a leader on the floor. Before DJ came along, he would've been better at the point than anyone OU had for a long time.

I noticed Abreu and Cvetinovic jawing with Dambrot near the end of the game. Abreu looked especially upset about something.
Can you imagine what this board would be like if somebody quit like Abreu did last night? That and the play where Stevie broke in with three guys on his heels, missed the bunny, and Jon Smith still got the rebound and put back. I don't know how you don't bench people for overt acts like that.
My jaw hit the floor on that play. I literally yelled at Abreu from the O Zone for his obvious laziness on that play. If that had been one of our guys out there I would've been flipping out and yelling at Groce to bench him until he did.

I can't even decide. There are so many. And I'm with Mike C., my history of hating Akron goes clear back to that thug Jamie Bosley.
Dambrot is way up on my list for being totally classless ... hard to imagine Akron could find another coach as classless as Hipsher, but they sure did.
And they always seem to have a punk at point guard.
Glad the McKnights are gone ... I really enjoyed their father's absence in the visitor section.

This is the sort of poll I would expect Akron fans to sponsor, not us.

I've tried to think back but I can't think of a single time that I've ever seen one of our players do that. The closest I could come was one time Brandon Hunter stood under the basket complaining to the ref about a non-call as the play went down to the other end. That was bad but what Abreu did was inexcusable.

Athena, how can he be that bad? After all, he was LeBron James' high school coach.
Just setting up a hanging curve for Monroe to hit out of the park . . .
