Well, at least the Cats will know what they have to do.

I don't believe I've ever seen a college basketball game day moved due to anything other than snow.

Prayers out to those in southern Indiana and Kentucky.  Be prepared Cincinnati, these storm systems look vicious .

Wow, that's pretty amazing.  It's actually pretty good news for me. Just had my database blow up and it may be a late night here at work.  Was probably looking at a night of listening to Russ on my phone.

Let's not forget the Miami fans.

Both of them.

several of our local sectionals are postponed and moved.

My good friend Coach Perry Hunter tweeted that he is alove and safe after the Tornado destroyed the school

I am happy that Bobcat and Miami fans got to ground and cover before these storms moved that way. Joe McKinley was in Oxford making calls when I talked to him at 4 pm. Got an early heads up.

Extremely weak........I'm sitting at my office desk 30 minutes from Oxford right now....the sun shining!  The storms in the Southwest Ohio area have just about moved out.  Lame.  I am sure Miami will have the same number of fans in attendance tomorrow anyways.......few.

Happy to say it is sunny now in Muncie as well

Funnel clouds reported in Richmond and COnnersville and several places south to  the areas where multiple tornadoes were on the ground south of there...all just to the west of Oxford. Good decision by Miami to call it early and get fans off the road.

FOr Joe McK and I who were in HS the afternoon of the Xenia tornado these days bring to the forefront the need for safety ...I lost the car for a couple of weeks when my  mom and dad had no idea I was hanging out inthe varsity locker room and not anywhere near my girlfriend in Xenia.

Hopefully the extra nights rest puts a little more pep in our guy's steps tomorrow. It looked as if fatigue could potentially have played a role in our slooooooow start on wednesday

I remember that April day in 1974 very well, and, the aftermath. My dad spent a lot of time helping friends in Xenia clean up debris, trim trees and help secure homes. The loss of life was devastating. The property damage immense. And, it could've been a lot worse.

Good decision by the folks in Oxford. We got word when we were in Hamilton and are just now back in Columbus. Glad we have an opportunity to head back tomorrow for the game.

Had the same thought the other night.  The Cats were playing on two days rest while Kent had three.  Don't know if it would've made a difference at Fiami because both last played Wednesday night.

Can understand the Fiami folks wanting to play it safe.  After what happened at the Southeast Conf. tourney a few years ago, better safe than sorry.  Sometimes it doesn't take a tornado like they had; strong straight line winds can cause enough damage to get people hurt.

We had driven all the way to Eastgate before finding out about the postponement.  So we just turned around and made the two hour drive back to Jackson.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to get back over there tomorrow morning.

While the weather may have cleared out before game time, Miami probably didn't know this was going to be the outcome.  I was listening to WLW and, as borna has posted, things were extremely dicey in that whole region.  I'm thinking Miami acted conservatively and probably made the right move.
