WOW.  I was kinda worried about the possibility of facing BG or EMU in the quarters in Cleveland.

We wouldn't have had EMU.  We had either Toledo, Fiami, CMU or BG (now, the Toledo-CMU winner).

But when was the last time a 12 seed won a MAC tourney game?

2002. Central Michigan over (5) Ohio.

They were not the last seed, EMU was the 13 that year.

Last time the dead last seed advanced a round was (13) CMU in 2000 over (4) Akron

13-seed CMU beat 4-seed Akron in the 2000 Tourney.

These 2 results shock me.  I really thought BG was a potentially dangerous team.

If you look at NIU's results since February 18th, they had been playing better of late, including a 3 point loss @ EMU on Feb 22 and a win over Toledo on Feb 29th. I was more surprised by the Central win @ BG. BG seemed to be playing pretty strong in the last month.

I think they were a dangerous team for Ohio. Play that zone very well.

But we actually beat Bowling Green once.  I didn't watch the game against Toledo, but should we be legitimately  concerned if (not discounting Central Michigan) that is who we get to play.

BG also led at Ohio late. I think Toledo's tempo is more in Ohio's favor. In the loss to Toledo it seemed like every bounce went their way. They had 20 offensive rebounds, I don't see that happening again. Won't be an easy out, but a better matchup for Ohio IMO. Of course, I wouldn't object to CMU beating them either.

I see Toledo getting by CMU by 12. CMU will foul alot. Brown and Pearson are tough for Toledo.  We did not handle them in the last game.  It will take one hell of a defensive effort by Ohio.  Toledo had a lot of transitional baskets because we were standing.  Cannot let that happen this time around.

I wasn't scared of them, but I thought they'd at least make it to Cleveland.

You know Kent State and OU are going to bring quite a few fans to Cleveland, but who do you think would be best in terms of helping attendance figures for the Thursday games out out of NIU, WMU, CMU and Toledo?  Would any of these schools actually travel in big numbers?  I was kind of hoping BGSU or Miami would make it for that reason.

Toledo > the other 3 combined, in terms of fan support.

Agree about Toledo.  Western's support would be decent.
