Several folks in the Convo have asked me about BSU.  WHy the metldown after being on the cusp of beating Arizona early in the season? THis student may answer some questions. I don't quite agree with the timeline but they have had problems since Hunsaker and Ray left. This year is it's own story and much of that is covered here. THe players I talk to will not say anything. Period. THey just respond saying "I go to practice and work as hard as I can every single day" . Many here in Muncie are asking about Taylor's job security in an article that addresses everything from the RPI  and quality of teams they historically play to the AD stepping down . I think he is a good coach who has indeed, brought in some questionable characters. Getting a bunch of 18-21 year olds onthe same page is difficult at best, worse if there are mentors, parents and others in the mix who become the players (and team's) worst enemy. Firing Taylor is not the answer IMHO. The MAC has done a great job recently putting guys in place (cave for NIU) who are starting to turn things around. Taylor has stumbled, I think some of that may go to woh he has surrounded himself with but htat is only an opinion.

I heard Coach K during an interview talking about today's athletes and the difficulty engaging them. "When I played for Coach Knight, I heard one voice...HIS, it was never mine, my parents, my peers  or anyone else. There are so many distractions these days  and keeping kids focused in this world even without social media is so very difficult"
