Agreed, congrats on the assist record DJ! How close is he now to the steal record?

congrats DJ!

After two seasons DJ was on pace to finish with 962 assists which would have put him at #6 all time in NCAA.
(those two seasons rank #1 and #3 all time in the MAC) DJ is 14 assists shy of being #1 all time in the MAC.

Updated with current number DJ is now on pace to finish with 872 assists which would still be good enough for #18.

We're watching one of the best to ever play, enjoy it.

CONGRATS DJ!!!!! I was just informed by one of my fellow bobcats that the career assist record was broken. Good Luck with the rest of your career.

Hardly "the" career assist record.  "My"  would have been appropriate. Congrats on holding it so long!!!

I've always known we're watching a special college point guard, but I guess I never realized he was on pace to be in this kind of company.  Bravo #5!

That's funny Mrs Love...I have a similiar video from my 3 year old.  But he adds a distaste for Walter too for some reason.

Not to cast aspersions, but it's a shame that someone from the athletic department didn't reach out to Dink before it was broken and get him involved somehow. That's a major record and one he held for 20 years.

I had recently learned of the site. I enjoy coming on to see what's going on with OU BBall. I saw DJ play on TV his freshman year, I knew he would get the record if he continued to play like that. Especially since he was gonna be a four year starter. Thanks for the acknowledgement.

wish i was a few years older, would have loved to see Dink and Jamerson light up the convo.

Before DJ came along the closest anyone got to Dink's record in the 22 years he owned it was Sonny Troutman who was a full 266 assists short. Amazing.

Fun fact- 1990 was the year Dink made his last assist and it was the year DJ was born.
