Well, Kermit Davis was a mid-major head coach for 16 years before trying his hand at SEC ball and the axe has fallen after 2 bad seasons following 3 good ones at the start.

Groce has been mid-major and major-major...do "y'all" think Ole Miss looks at him? He does have that "down home" small town way of talking that might fit in?

FAU and North Texas coaches are listed as candidates. Chris Beard shockingly was too, but SEC operates differently.

Can Rick Pitino be far behind?

In terms of the Chris Beard situation, who really knows what happened? She later retracted her story and said she attacked him and that he was just reacting in self-defense. So, was story #1 the truth, or story # 2?

Regardless, it was bad enough Texas didn’t want any part of him. So, it’s surprising to see (for me at least) Beard linked to another job so soon.

Pitino was talked about recently on PTI as potentially getting another high-major job.
