We're about a month from the first two home games, and they're all still TBA? Since the only weekend start time for sports that they seem to consider is 2pm, why not just put that out there now? 😂😂

I struggle to remember if this has been the norm in the past, just about as much as I struggle to understand the struggle with setting tip times for games a month away.

National TV schedule is out

Kent home Saturday game moved to Friday night

No slot for the weekend we host Central Michigan, so that one is at least set in stone.

Two Friday slots the same weekend we host Miami. Akron/Kent should get one, but I'd say a likely chance we are assigned the other one.

The first five MAC games are tough. @Buffalo, @BGSU (We always struggle at Stroh), Balls, Kent, @Toledo.

Most home times are set now. Ohio has had 1 home game moved to Friday for CBSSN already and CBSSN has the option to move a few more so they are not set in stone.

That Kent game is the night before the dorms open for spring semester.

Three of our non-conference opponents (Belmont, Cleveland State, Marshall) getting sleeper recognition from ESPN for their individual conferences. EMU getting the MAC nod for Bates.

Boals let it slip in the post-game chat that they're finalizing plans to play in the Bahamas Thanksgiving weekend 2023. Not Atlantis but the Baha Mar Hoops.

It was the radio post-game interview. Russ gave Boals crap for not knowing about and not getting a vote for the "All-tournament team" and Boals said something like maybe next time, next year we'll be in the Bahamas." It was clearly the first time Russ has heard it so he started hounding him a bit and said "Atlantis or the other one that Ball State is playing in" and Boals said yeah that one then added something about still working thru details.

Just checking up on this. The weekend of February 4 had two TV slots. EMU/Ball State will play Friday night on CBSSN. Looks like Kent/Akron gets the ESPNU slot, but as of now, ESPN lists that as still a Saturday game (good for them!). Which means, CONGRATULATIONS!, we get a Saturday home game against Miami during Sibs Weekend. Awesome!

February 11 weekend still up in the air who gets the two slots. I could see BG/Ball State as a possibility as well as the ones listed above.

EDIT: And just as I hit SUBMIT, that Kent/Akron game refreshes on ESPN and gets moved to Friday 2/3

it appears football works differently than basketball or scheduling. kent states football team usually has a super tough non conferenc schedule. theyve played alabama and ths year they played georgia. a better route is for ou to play in different conference. conference usa ,big east or american would be good. those are conferences where we could compete well with

The final home game vs. BG was selected for an 8PM time slot on CBSSN. All MAC games were already set for Friday 3/3 so all this does is move our tip time back one hour. The MAC actually has three national TV slots that night as Akron/Kent and Toledo/Ball State picked up the other two.

But I don't see any MAC games for this Friday, which I find a bit odd.
