ABJ's Marla Ridenauer with an excellent column on Zeke today.  She essentially called him out on his emotional shortcomings, which were apparent after we started doubling him.  Anyone who watched the telecast could see shots of Marshall throwing himself a pity party for two-thirds of the game.  Looked like was going to start crying when he missed a couple of gimmes.  He doesn't seem to have a killer instinct and has very, very thin skin.

Great article.

Zeke Marshall<Charmin

He is one of the softest 7-footers I have ever seen. So much ability, but can't channel his emotions. Hope he doesn't tap into his true potential until after he graduates.

I get the impression that Zeke plays basketball because that's whats expected of a skinny 7 footer and it was a way to pay for college. I don't see any passion for the game whatsoever. When we played them at Akron this year Zeke got called for a foul and Dambrot pulled him out of the game and he was literally crying on the bench. And not in an angry/frustrated way but in a weepy, why don't I get everything I want, way. It was uncomfortable to watch. He is the polar opposite of Cooper in every way.

There was an article on Marshall this week that confirmed that the only reason he started to play basketball was because his mother made him.  He doesn't seem to love the game.

Big time pouter. He's made huge strides since his freshman season, but his head is going to keep him from being as good as he should be.

I am originally from Dayton so I already do not like Steve Bardo, (any Flyer fan should know why), all the excuses he made for Marshall became extremely annoying last night.  Reggie and Jon ate Zeke up last night.

That is too bad, and a bit sad given his God given skills.  Truly hope he finds something that excites him.

there's a reason why a 7 footer with Zeke's talent is playing in the MAC...
