So I was filling out my brackets (I make several, one serious, one favoring us, and the other with just pure upsets), and I happened to notice that if the cards fall just our way (in the means of some teams getting upset as we advance meaning playing not the better teams from the previous matchups) we would be playing georgetown in the elite eight....cool?

What would have been even cooler:  if we played Georgetown in round 1 in Columbus.

Why? Why do people keep bringing this up? Why would we want to play a team with obvious revenge motivation?

I'll take "personal opinions" for $200, Alex.

If your personal opinion doesn't match Burke's, it's wrong.

Maybe because Georgetown's 'revenge' for a first round loss to Ohio in 2010, was a first round loss VCU last year?

Georgetown hasn't been nearly as good a team -- in terms of wining the big game -- since Thompson Sr. left, because they no longer mug the other team behind the ref's backs.  I never saw such dirty play in my life as the Georgetown teams of that era.  I used to refer to them as "muggers on wheels."  In football I would give the Mugger Award to Tressel's Youngstown State teams.  I almost got in a fight with a Youngstown player's Dad over this once, but that's a story for another ocassion.
