Contain the three point shot early and often. This is how you beat them. It is a guard oriented team.

When will we know what time the game is?  I really want to know if I have the chance to make this game (have to do some work on Friday morning and would have a 7 hour drive from here).

Late this evening, most likely.

Just remember Stevie and Nick played on an AAU team with Trey Burke. Our guards should know how to play against him. I like the match up and it is drivable for most of our fans. I think we could argue the seeding one or two spots, but I'm not terrified of Michigan.

This matchup is an absolute dream for me.  My father is a Michigan alum.  My mother is an OSU alum.  I grew up rooting for Michigan, and I have been waiting for the opportunity to play Michigan in either basketball or football.  I really think this is winnable, and the next game (hopefully against Temple) is winnable as well... who knows, we may get UNC down the road!  I am strongly considering taking the day off Friday to make the road trip to Nashville.  GO CATS!!!

I imagine Groce will get some scouting report from Matta and/or Boals.

Exactly what I was thinking. Groce should have this team prepared.

If DJ can play like he has in the MAC Tourney in the Big Dance, I like our chances of making to the Sweet 16.  Also, Reggie's new found aggressiveness needs to continue and RJ and TJH need to continue their game by game improvement.  From an old fart perspective we owe Michigan one from 1964. After beating Louisville and Kentucky, it was Michigan that kept us out of the Final Four.  Some of us have long memories.  We want revenge!

i

BOth of these games are winnable. Michigan is a nightmare to get a team ready for but we have an entire week. Michigan is a very physical tough punishing team and Bacari has left his mark with regard to that but I have to think if we rotate the ball and make them pay in transition we will be in a position to win. Zach is a hell of a competitor. His dad, he, Tommy and I went to lunch between  tourney sessions his freshman year in HS, I knew just talking to him that he is a hard nosed kid that just loves to win with tons of BBIQ. The culture at Michigan hoops is changing and they are trying hard to get back to the level they were in the 80 and 90's with pretty decent movement. New facilities have made an impact and the family atmosphere has this team really loving each other and it has shown on the court in many cases when they are up against better talent. That said they have some talent that is a holdover from Beileins first class and it is not as good as the last class that came in...that makes them somewhat vulnerable. I like it ... .will be interesting to see how it shapes up as we do more in depth study of them. . GO over to Dakich podcast and listen to Zach talk about how Michigan has done and his career there.
