You're outta luck Cza, 3 quarters of the arena will be making noise against you from the tip, if the crowd smells an upset brewing it'll get insane as the final buzzer gets closer. I think thats one of the reason you see so many upsets during the first weekend of the tournament: not only is the game on a "neutral" court, but the majority of the crowd is with the underdog of BOTH games in a session. I saw it with my own eyes a couple years ago when the tournament was in buffalo. In short, while team "A" (the favorite of a given pairing) has their fans rooting for them, team "B" is being shouted on my their own fans as well as the fans of teams C & D (the other two teams in that session), not only because everyone loves an underdog, but also because fans of C and D would rather face the underdog in the following round.
No doubt. Was at the BTT this past weekend and there were a lot of "Minnesota" fans in the building Friday night. Michigan's alumni base is pretty national so we usually rep well, but more often than not, those alums are far bigger football fans so who knows about the crowd. Sucks for USF and Cal (more so for Cal) as they have about 48 hours to get travel plans arranged so expecting majority of the crowd to be Mich/Temple/Ohio.
