Some students want to jump into the Baker University Center pond for "Beat Michigan." Sound familiar? As a current student, I cannot stand for it. We MUST stop this.

Good call. Did my part.

As someone who's been in the Hocking multiple times, odds are common sense prevails and you get less than 10 people actually doing it anyways.

That's besides the point. For me, it's about creating OUr own identity. It's a matter of branding. And above all, it's about school pride. We can NEVER brand OHIO if OUr own students try to imitate that school up north. It really errks me to no end that people cannot call their own school by it's proper name. We are OHIO.

Totally agree. My point in saying that is just in envisioning the front of the post with a picture of hundreds of students wading into the damn Hocking. That would be the definition of a branding problem.

Who came up with this idea in the first place? I don't know how effective I'll be, but I'll do my part to protect OUr brand! :)

As a student, I won't be partaking in any of these shenanigans, but isn't it a good thing to see more students getting excited about our athletics? Sure, it's not 100% what us diehards are looking for but at least it's a step in the right direction. I say let them have their fun.
