How does DJ get MAC 1st team honors and MAC Tourney MVP, yet not make the 1st Team for this stupid NABC District 14 list?

While I want our guys to get the accolades they deserve, I kind of like the slights. I feel it gives them an edge and it's some extra motivation for them to perform. You have to think that the MAC Championship was that much sweeter for our guys beating POY Watts then the Akron crew who walked away with more individual honors.

Just like any awards it comes down to politics.

This goes back to high school awards (maybe even earlier) where certain coaches get more of a leeway or get their players on a list because of how the team did or the past success of their program.

What is an NABC District 14 anyway and why are only MAC teams represented?  No disrespect to any of them, especially DJ, but I'm not sure what it even means.  All I think I know is that ot represents coaches voting.  Is that even true?
