Rumors starting to fly about Trey leaving. He tweeted: "Its been real".

Speculation is that McBroom, Jackson, and Trey Zeigler might all be leaving Mt. Pleasant.

So what if it angers their best player? This was the right move for the program.

Yay!  I really thought of all the coaching changes in the MAC the last 6 years..... he and Patton were the ones that were not going to work (of course UT had to go through one with some extra curricular activity to find the right one). I was extremely surprised he was not let go after the Bus thing last year. Will be very interesting to see which way they go as the MAC is in kind of a coaching renaissance where those who were hired have got their kids in place and are positioned to climb the ladder again. It is only goood for the MAC to have each school take the coaching changes seriously and have a bigger eye on self interest in hoops for this conference to become legit again....

EDIT....The Geno thing was a good change.....Senderhoff ....Ewwww. Don't think it will take long for that experiment to play out poorly....

Watching Trey play below expectations has been real.

Would Ziegler get any major offers after his 2 years of underachieving?  I don't think so.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer within the conference.

Are players allowed to transfer within the MAC? I know the big 10 has a rule to prevent that.

That is not true (Brad Sellars).  The Big Tendozen has a rule against recieving a scholorship from another school once you transfer.

I am pretty sure Ray would be more than happy to find Ray Ray a running mate. Holman came from IU and is the last of Sampson's boys still playing. Many of those big school coaches that originally recruited the young man are the type that still think they have the chops to get the best out of him.

Have a feeling a team will have to hire daddy as part of the package. And daddy is poison.

I really hope wherever Trey Ziegler ends up that CMU gives him his unconditional release to play anywhere and that the NCAA waives the one year wait to play due to transfering. He literally doesn't have the option to stay and play after they fired (finally) his father.  Normally, I am a big believer in making the kids sit a year, but I think this is a special circumstance.

Huh?? How does he literally not have an option?

He is going to stay at the school that just fired his father? No, sorry you don't grasp that.  Plus, it would be very tough for whoever is next.  Again, not really a choice.
