Looking at their starting lineup, their biggest is 6 6" center, and haradaway Jr at 6-6", I think this is favorable for us instead of playing teams with a solid 6-10" or 6-11" kid.  Our 6-8" threesome should be able to exploit them.  Our guard play, coop, offutt, and kellog, should be able to compete...

I'm not sure what exactly you're seeing.  Their center is Jordan Morgan and he's 6'8" legit.  That said, I've been telling people that in essence you're correct.  UM is not a big post team.  They typically play Zach Novak - a G/F tweener - who is 6'4" at PF alternating with Evan Smotryzc, who is 6'9" but plays like a guard.  Good match-up for Ivo.  Doesn't mean those guys can't hurt you, though. Both can shoot and Novak has been a real pain in the side for MSU.

Michigan has a lot to recommend them.  They've been great at winning close games and closing out.  However, Ohio did get a team with some favorable match-ups.

UVA is comparable to the Bobcats in size and they beat Michigan handily in November.

Jordan Morgan is a solid 6'8 on the inside. He is a better version of Javon Mccrea. They also have Evan Smotrycz who is 6'9 and can stretch the floor with a good outside shot. 

They don't have much of a bench, they don't get a lot of offensive rebounds or block any shots. 

What they do is spread the floor with their 3 pt shooting which allows them to get good inside looks as a result, they also don't turn the ball over very often. 

The other good news is that Stevie Taylor and Nick Kellogg were AAU teammates of Trey Burke, so maybe they'll have a good idea of how to stop him.

Being that they rely on the three a lot and we have great defense against the three, I really like this match up.

Hmm, he's not a 6'10/6'11" center but he's not  6'6" either.  He's listed as 6'8" on the UM website and, from watching many UM games, I'd say that's the ballpark of accuracy.  Good frame and build.  He made a huge jump last year after a disappointing freshman year but he got a lot more done with Darius Morris getting him looks.  His scoring is down a touch as a junior.  

Bigtilly is right.  They don't have much post depth. Sophomore F Jon Horford (little bro of Al) is out for the year.

Ivo needs to take it to the hole like he did early in the season.  He could really be the X factor in this game.  I don't think the Michigan bigs could handle him on the inside...IF he stops with the fade aways.

Folks, Ivo can shoot the ball!! if he creates space, there are worse ways for us to end a possession. Dude is Euro all the way! He's at his best when he's both shooting well and going to rim effectively, but people are way too hard on him for his shooting. Who else on our team hits a midrange J with his consistency?

DFC is spot on.  We do not beat Buffalo or Akron without a few HUGE shots from Ivo.  He was extremely clutch in Cleveland.

       Someone started a thread Sunday about Offutt taking a charge late in the game had to be one of the key plays of the game. No argument here. However, Smith's blocked shot after Zeke spinned around him for what looked like an easy 2-foot bank shot was equally huge.

We definitely aren't a team that will overwhelm anyone in the paint. The positive is when Smotrycz is playing the 5 and Jordan Morgan is on the bench (you will rarely see both of them on the floor together), everyone on the team can shoot the 3 and forces the opposing teams bigs to guard until their heels are on the 3 point line.

Novak is great at help defense on the interior and not going to stick either Morgan or Smote alone in the paint, but does leave us vulnerable to kick out 3's.

Every team we have played has brought up the size issue and except in the cases where we give up a ton of offensive rebounds, haven't had anyone really just kill us in the paint all game. (Except for Sullinger on Saturday, dude couldn't miss).

I think this is a good matchup for us. Keely should be able to contain Morgan inside, Baltic is versatile enough to guard Smotrycz on the outside, and Jon Smith can probably guard either. 

Also I would expect to see more TJ Hall since he won't be overpowered by a big 4. If he continues to play as well as he did in Cleveland, I like our chances to at least keep the game close.

Real key to beating Michigan is hedging the ball screens up top on Burke. A lot of the offense starts there, when it's taken away we tend to get frustrated and start chucking 3's. We are one of the better 2 pt FG% teams in the country because we are pretty selective, but we have never met a 3 ball we didn't like.

Oh and from above, Jordan Morgan is a legit 6'8. If he gets in foul trouble (which he usually does), Blake McLimans might see some minutes and he has height (6'9 I think), but he's a pansy and prefers to hang in the corner and look for a 3 which he can make every once in awhile. He may have 7 total career rebounds in 3 years. Seriously.

They use a very short bench. If they get into foul trouble they could be in trouble. They haven't played a lot of guys in the Big Ten this year. The bench got a lot smaller once conference play started.

Starting five:
Trey Burke (3) ... 5'11 ... 180 ... PG.
Stu Douglass (1) ... 6'3 ... 200 ... G.
Tim Hardaway Jr (10) ... 6'6 ... 200 ... G.
Zack Novak (0) ... 6'4 ... 210 ... G/F.
Jordan Morgan (52) ... 6'8 ... 250 ... C.

Short Bench:
Evan Smotzrycz (23) ... 6'9 ... 235 ... F/C -- usually comes in for Morgan because of early foul.
Matt Vogrich (13) ... 6'4 ... 195 ... G -- comes in for Stu or Zack.

If need to go deeper on the bench:
Colton Christian (45) ... 6'6 ... 215 ... F. --- comes in only if Morgan and Smotzrycz are in trouble.
Eso Akunne (5) ... 6'2 ... 225 ... G -- might see him give Burke a break.
Carlton Brundidge (2) ... 6'1 ... 190 ... G --- only used sparingly this season, but would give Burke a rest.

Injury
*** John Horford*** ... 6'10 ... 250 ... is red-shirting who started out the season as a starter.
