We actually have a couple of articles about the game already on our front page along with talking about it on our message board.

Thanks for the plug.

Think it will be a interesting match-up.

That's a great article. The author knows more about us than many of the regular MAC beat writers. Good read.

Thanks ... will pass it on, but it does help that he did go to "Ohio" as well.

If I remember correctly he played baseball way back in the day there as well. A real old-timer.

Too bad Reghi and Mix aren't as well-versed about Ohio basketball as the author of this article.  Would've made watching STO's coverage more palatable this season.  And I think he's spot-on as to the kind of game it's going to be.

Thats as accurate a description of Ohio history as any I have seen in print not put out by OHIO. Caught the 1807 and 1804 schools that predate 1874 and slipped in the 1817 refence to MU also LOL . Michigan U. has a nice ring does it not?

THe scouting report is fairly spot on for someone who had not been close to the program. IF he were to scour the board historically he would see all the glaring weakness' because this board is quick to point them out as are most. Still. he pu together a Great..not good but great article on the upcoming game with the first and finest.

Yes this seems to be one of the best articles that I have read concerning the game!...I think even ESPN had a picture of Reggie Keely and called  him DJ Cooper..then showed DJ Cooper calling him DJ Cooper..well I am still confused.

My compliments to the GBMWolverine Staff...........that was one helluva read.
Without a doubt the finest analysis, from an opposing team site, that I have ever read.

I'm looking forward to the Burke/Cooper showdown. I agree that they will essentially cancel each other out.

Michigan will go as Hardaway goes. If we can contain him we have a definate shot.

The only thing I disagree with in the article is our comparison to Iowa. From a size perspective I would concur.....but I also think OU is far more talented and far more athletic then Iowa was this year.

We beat Northern Iowa that beat Iowa this year, if that means anything, which it probably doesn't.

We also beat Marshall, who beat Cincinnati, who beat Syracuse, who beat Florida, who Beat OSU, who beat Michigan twice.

The logic is undeniable, we can't lose.

Thank you all for the nice comments.  I will be wearing a UM shirt and an Ohio hat on Friday.  I am very glad all of you enjoyed the article.  There is no place like Athens and the truth is watching a game in the big house is pure enjoyment, a different atmosphere.

Iowa is the team most  like Ohio.  But I agree the Cats have more talent, but Iowa squeezed much out of what they had.  Beilein is a coach very similar to our beloved Coach Jim Snyder, soft, reserved, for the players, but not afraid to compete or get after someone.

Eroc will here about this old timer gig, but he is not far off.  Come over to the GBMWolverine board now and then to get some good Big Ten stuff.  The site is based on respect and appreciation.  There are some highly recognized guys that give great info from coaching and technical points of view.

So, all I can do is sit back and see the final score- I do expect this game to be very entertaining.

Will be fun to watch with Burke and Cooper. Burke will want to redeem himself after his last performance which could be a double edge sword as well. He might over do it and he might try and push the issue since he knows some of those players as well.

Agree with your point about Hardaway. If he struggles early it could be a long night. He is a very streaky player and if he starts hot he usually stays hot, but if he is cold he stays cold. Big mental part for Hardaway is trying to get over that hurdle.

Just a little history lesson here.

Doc4Blu actually is the guy I was talking about in previous comments saying he went to Ohio University and played baseball there and I believe it was the 1970 team if I recall all those old stories.

Hoping for a good game and the victory. Thinking whoever wins tonight's game will give NC a run especially if some of their key players are still out -- I know/realize somebody probably has Temple to deal with first after this game.
