Agree - as of 8:09 PM, the now "underdog" wolverines could possibly come back - but me thinks no - they are wearing out, our pace is working.........

I had that thought, too. But I would have loved to convert on those three straight possessions we forced turnovers. That's our game and we have to capitalize!

Burke looked gassed or maybe even injured going into the locker room.

They are gassed - OUr pace can kill 'em - weak legs can't hit 3's

Indeed.  Always fun to see lots of upsets...especially Duke exiting in round one!

Who would have expected Norfolk St. and Lehigh to be playing Sunday?

I didn't even think this was that big of an upset to be honest.

The best thing was that we didn't play particularly well.  We played smart by dumping it down low so often but this wasn't the Georgetown game where we played a great game.  I haven't seen Michigan enough to know how they played but in my estimation we are better.   They are good and well coached but it's not often when you watch a game against a good Big 6 team and realize they can't just isolate you and take you.

So much this. Yes, we shot well from the field and the line. But we just flat out beat them. It wasn't like we were playing out of this world. We were just better.

Defense won? Hitting FT's won? Played Tough"? Went "as DJ goes, we go"? I think combination of several game key objectives executed. U of M not GREAT, but we shut down their strengths - so We Were.....

One game at a time.

Underdog?

I'm biased, but Ohio is simply a better team right now. Trey Burke is going to be an incredible basketball player, but he's not D.J. Cooper right now. They had no defense for Ivo Baltic or Reggie Keely, Offut made them look slow and Jon Smith looked like he was wrangling against the Lilliputians in the paint.

This was another one of those that looked like Ohio was in control, even when Mich made its final run.  The Cats just seemed to have a lot more poise than Mich down the stretch.   They took one or two shots too early in the clock, but they were open looks and didn't miss badly.  Mich, tho, just seemed to be lifeless and looked a bit sloppy, even when they were closing the gap.

Looking forward to Sunday.  GO CATS!  BEAT [insert name of opponent here]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9-7 for about a minute was Michigan's only lead in this one.

Stay classy Dook:

Rivers: "I prepare to win. That's what Duke's about. This doesn't happen. We (expletive) lost to a 15 seed."

Agree that we always seemed to be in control.  Being built on defense brings that.  We seemed to give up to many offensive rebounds to UMich at points.  But I guess that you can't ask for everything--I'm thinking that it would be very tough for anyone to beat us if we out rebound them.
