hope it's true, great for us and nice to see a coach Smart  who came from a small college(Kenyon College) have success on the big stage.

Shaka's wife Maya is also very impressive.  I am hoping he and John Groce both stay put.

He's making 1.2 million. Wow. We are in another universe salary wise.

Weber was at $1.5M when he was fired, so will that be enough to make Shaka jump?

Really .2?  That's astoundingly low and needs to be tripled at least for next year.  Gotta play if you want to be in the game.

We should take some of that 600k we're getting from Temple leaving and give it to Groce. Just kidding. Sort of.

We've gotta make sure we invest a good portion of it in our classics department.

At the very, very, very least we should take whatever money is earmarked for the CBI, CIT, Everyone Gets At Trophy, and the rest of the Make Believe Tourney fees and and make his salary $.25 million...

Great idea. I would give him all of it. Best win-win scenario I could imagine. Dump boa, keep JG

Groce base apparently $250K.

Illinois link says he's 15:1 shot.  Says Illinois can go as high as $2 million. and there's the Nebraska mention (above). Gotta hope the returning team and his relationship with DJ get him back to Athens next year.

Adding $600,000 to Groces salary will make absolutely no difference in him staying. Give it to himbecause he earned it and if he stays another year, great, but we can do nothing to keep him from leaving.
