After some discussion on Bobcatattack.com, there is a viewing party scheduled at O'Bryons Irish Pub, 1998 Madison Road Cincinnati, OH 45208, for this Friday's Ohio vs. Michigan NCAA Tournament game. This is not being put together by the alumni association, but by some Bobcatattackers. That being said, we need help spreading the word. Please tell your OU friends.

The bar is offering up its private party area for our viewing party - starting at 6:30 p.m. We encourage as many people to get there by that time, so the bar owners won't regret us using this space for free.

There are tables and chairs in the private area, along with flatscreens. There is also a patio with a television. The rest of the bar will be open, if it gets crowded in there. TVs are available throughout the bar.

Last note, the private party area will be open to the public after the game is over. Doesn't mean you have to leave, but just a heads up.

Tip is 7:20 p.m.

I'll make a facebook event and set it to public and post the link here in a second. Invite your Cincinnati alum friends and encourage them to do the same.

Thanks for posting.

Just wanted to note that I was able to get in touch with the alumni association and they are going to post it and send a mass email about the viewing party.

They also tried to reach out to the Cincinnati chapter president. I assume there could be something again at Oak Tavern. The assistant director of the alumni association is supposed to contact me if she hears something and I will post that information here.

That being said, I would love to see everyone at O'Bryons. Remember try to get there at 6:30 p.m. so we can get in the room early and get situated.

O-H-I-O, O-H-I-O, OOOOOooooooooo

Another note --- just got word that the Cincinnati chapter is not hosting a game watch, but will try to help promote this one. Our game watch will be listed at www.ohioalumni.org/calendar and at www.ohioalumni.org/bobcat-bash later today.

There are many other game watches throughout the country, so it may eventually be buried.

Please continue to email or invite via Facebook fellow Bobcat fans.

I wouldn't worry about that happening, it would require someone involved with the Cincinnati chapter to plan or do something.

Thanks for setting up the Facebook event Drew, I'm working on getting the word out to some of the people who threw the 2010 bash.

It isn't happening (see response above yours). We are, right now, the only official gamewatch in town.

the plan was to have a personal game watch for my wife and i at the establishment where we saw Ohio defeat Georgetown two years ago, Barnesburg Tavern.   Its really, really close to the house but i'll see if she's up to going crosstown to O'Bryons.   She was gracious enough to recommend that my friends and I stay in Nashville through tonight's game.  Um, yeah...the postgame celebration on Broadway took up a good chunk of my March disposable income, so we returned to town yesterday.

I'm very glad someone set up a Game Watch in Cincy, well done!

Haven't seen anything new yet, but I'm probably going right back up to O'Bryon's again for the game. Gonna be tough squeeze I think, since the Xavier game tips just 30 minutes after Ohio/USF tips, so a lot of Musketeer fans will be there too.
