Is it safe to assume AJB is gonna be playing 15 mins max moving forward? Coming in at the 8:30 mark seems pretty late.

That chubby post player for Fiami is really coming on recently.
Watching an early-season Miami game, the announcer said something about coach Steele getting Mirambeuax to lose 40/60 pounds (don't remember exact number) over the summer. Looks to me that he's put most of that back on as we're approaching March Madness.

Things that can’t happen in Cleveland.

*Sheldon coming in at first TV timeout. We have a big enough sample size to see that he’s not ready.
*Hunter leaving the floor. Amazing how fast the lead goes away when he’s not on the court.
*AJB coming in with 8 minutes left in the half. Boals has been doing this consistently since he got back from recent injury. Make it make sense?
*400 pound fellas blowing by The Whiz on possessions and scoring all his points against him.
*DW3 missing the rim on five layup attempts.

Bonus first half analysis: Do we lead the country in moving screens? Why is it such a challenge to set our feet?

Got 17 minutes to turn this around. Shooting less than 40%, 60% free throws, no bench

In my "new basketball math" missing the front end of a 1-1 counts as two misses! ;-)

Miles gets beat by Lairy (again) and takes it upon himself to get back at Lairy on the other end of the floor. Results in turnover or offensive foul.

And to borrow a phrase from FearLeon: help it makes sense that DW can't play for longer stretches than 3/4 minutes at a time.

I am just baffled at the timing of Boals subs at times. Ohio cuts the Miami lead down to 49-48 and he makes full scale changes. Miami promptly goes on a 5-0 run as OU can't find the bottom of the hoop for a few minute stretch.

Anyone else thinking Miami is the only school whose ESPN3/+ student sideline reporter is named "Stone"?

AJ Brown's defense is unplayable. Flat out unplayable.

Sometimes we don't play smart. Hunter drives out of control and hooks the defender.

He’s forcing things on offense too. Doesn’t seem to be playing team basketball right now in my opinion.

Our team defense is atrocious. Nothing new. Still a fact. We go nowhere until this changes (and is a big reason why Elmore James minutes helps).

And our decision making on offense is just as bad. Hunter and AJB hoisting 30 footers early in the shot clock? Roderick shooting a right handed off balanced runner INTO traffic from the left side of the hoop when he's left handed. We don't get extra points for difficulty.

Horrendous defensive performance by Ohio against one of worst offensive teams in the MAC. I'll give OU credit for forcing turnovers but to let Miami shoot 60% (still 3:41 left) is simply unacceptable.

Why can we see what the coaching staff can’t see? Is it Boals being so stubborn with his sub patterns? Wish his assistants can make him see we fall apart when he takes certain players off the court.

Total butt-kicking. I give Steele credit for going on record with a calculated statement about Ohio to motivate his team. They were absolutely ready to go and we did not respond. Focus on locking down the 4-5 game.

What an embarrassing meltdown.

Unacceptable.

I said we'd finish 20-13 and 11-7. Correction, 18-14 and 10-8 with a 1st Rd blowout coming up.

Boals has some serious recruiting and coaching up to do for next year.

Today's performance doesn't give me a lot of hope for Cleveland.

You would think he would learn how to defend a back door cut after getting beat a few times this season

Not making excuses…he’s struggling…maybe it’s because he’s not coming into the game recently until 10-12 minutes into the contest.

Boys didn’t seem too interested in playing ball the last 8 minutes.

He'd have to score 40 a game to make up for his defense and be a net positive right now.

Might be time for him to get used to running with Sheldon/Corna/Adelodon and Hadaway because that's where his performance warrants.

Another no show from Clayton as well. Seems like he has only one good game out of every eight games. He’s been so disappointing. Really curious if he’s back next season.
