I would say the possibility of a Miami player transferring to our hoops team is next to zero. I'm sure there have been some.. but the most recent OU transfer to come from another MAC school was Bubba Walther I believe in 2006 from Akron. OU doesn't often poach transfers from other MAC schools.
Nowadays there is probably an unwritten agreement between the two parties that they won't transfer to a school within the conference. It's extremely rare.

Just from last off season. . . just within the MAC . . . just off the top of my head. . .

Might have been rare in the past but not in the current landscape of NCAA basketball/football.

Very true unfortunately. NIL and the portal have changed the college landscape forever. But, no sense in crying over spilled milk. Time to hit the portal and bring some guys in.

Ryan Rollins applies for NBA draft but leaving door open for a return if projections aren't what he's seeking. Says he'll return to UT and not enter portal if he does decide to wait on the NBA.

Saw that. Sincere Carry just announced the same thing, declared for draft but did not hire an agent, and maintaining eligibility.

I would pay to see Shaq do a commercial with us. Athens businesses would be all over it. Could you imagine him coming to a few games?

Shareef is 6'10, 220. Hasn't done much on the P5 level but a drop to a mid major team could be good for him. He has potential to be another Gary Trent. But, I do not think we have offered. Could be a great replacement for BVP if he ultimately decides to leave.

Actually thought BVP would end up at Butler over Akron's Ali. Believe BVP is a better player, but Ali has 2-3 years still to play I believe.
