I thought we'd be in the Sweet 16 the year we won the Pre-NIT... didn't happen.

I thought we'd make the Sweet 16 during a Fears/Williams multi-year reign... didn't happen.

I thought we'd make the Sweet 16 during Cooper's tenure....

AND WE F'ING DID!!!!!

All of the games I have been to, all of the night's sitting around watching on the laptop. All worth it. At one point I questioned this team's toughness. I had to be on crack. Thank You so much to this group and coaches. Special.

I think all the players stepped up big time.  Even Baltic, who had a miserable first 35 minutes of the game, had a big basket in the final minutes.

And Offutt, WOW!!!  Just, WOW!!!  For my money, I'd make him co-MVP of the game with DJ.  He led Ohio in scoring and had four steals.

    Another key walt play: collins misses 3 w/ 20 seconds left and walt, among players 5-6 inches taller, fought for position and tipped the ball for dj to collect and eventually be fouled. typical play from offutt, playing like a man against taller competition

The first glimpse I had of Walter was in the ? Tennessee game this year when he absolutely exploded to the hole. Dropped my jaw. Tonight I heard jaws dropping all across the country. DJ is special but without #3 we ain't even in this thing.

When i think of all the self-pitying and negative things I said to my computer screen after those 2 games I could kick myself right now. Its been an incredible year! Excuse me, my eyes seem to have developed another leak

That was great, he knocked the ball off the backboard to keep it way from USF, who looked like they were going to get yet another offensive rebound.  Their inside D and positioning on rebounds was great.

This team has really matured during the past two months.  I talked about a lack of seniors for leadership earlier this year, but now juniors -- who are more like seniors this time of year -- have really stepped up.  Great job, everybody.  Beat Carolina!  (And, yes, there is an ongoing controversy between UNC and U of SC as to the right to be called "Carolina."  Here we go again.)

I didn't specifically think any given tournament (e.g. CIT, CBI) but i was quite pessimistic following the EMU and toledo losses. I was a fool and am BEYOND DELIGHTED to take your slings and arrows now in punishment. I deserve every bit of it and will delight in being proved wrong
