That is awesome!  And I can't wait to see what Matt Lauer's reaction on the Today Show tomorrow will be!  Another on-air chest bump with an Ohio intern perhaps?

It is awesome!

But this is not our first go around *Sweet Sixteen* like they were claiming.

Nantz must have been distracted by that Sports by Brooks Report of his divorce because of an alleged affair with a 20-year old. Annnnyyywhoooo....

...love the reaction from Clark and the repeated shots of Alex and Mom in the stands. God I love this day period.

I loved when Ivo's dad came down the aisle and hugged DJ's mom after he hit that runner with 0 left on the shot clock around the 5 minute mark.

Peter King at Sports Illustrated (and OU alum) just tweeted "In Coop We Trust" and "Tar Heels? We ain't afraid of no stinkin' Tar Heels #Bobcats".

the second best part of this win is the 5 days of saturated national media attention. We are Cinderella.

Any chance they send Nantz/Kellogg to STL?  They like to keep them with UNC/Duke a lot in these things, and there's more name recognition there with Kansas.

I don't see any way that they send Nick's dad to call that game. They might give him the night off so he can be there, but I'd be shocked if he was actually calling the UNC/OHIO SWEET16 game. Of couse, when I filled out my bracket I'd have been moderately shocked to be typing the phrase "UNC/OHIO SWEET 16 game".

*for the record, I did predict this outcome in my bracket....

My niece was in Greensboro this evening.  She called, "Go, Bobcats" and was near enough to Clark that he heard her and went over to her.  I saw a photo of the two of them together posted on Facebook just a bit ago.  My niece is an Ohio transplant to NC; to add a funny twist to it all, she's a post-doc fellow at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Driving from Charlotte, N.C., today to Hilton Head, S.C., we were listening to the game between Georgetown and NC State.  It was the strangest thing I'd ever heard.  There was John Thompson, Sr., doing color on his son's game.  He never once let on that it was his son's team and he was so dispassionate that it was unreal.  There was also a Thompson on the Georgetown team.  I wondered if that might be his grandkid.  If so, he never let on.  I'm glad that they won't put Clark in a similar situation.  Did anyone else hear that radio broadcast?  It was on XM radio.

Thompson had the Providence pod in 2010 as well. Not sure if he gets to call the shots or not.

JT called our Georgetown game two years ago. The radio call is kind of sad, the last ten minutes or so he barely says anything.

my favorite part of JTII calling our game in 2010 was at a point where we were making it rain with 3s somebody through up one that went in and JTII says in disbelief "He was gawded! He was gawded!" (guarded). He did a good job and was very complimentary of Coop and Bassett.

This is the 4th year in a row Gtown has lost to a double digit seed in the tourney. ouch.

My favorite part was knowing that Ronnie Thompson left the Muncie Central practice after 10 minutes and said to the custodian who has worked there for 35 years..... "there's nothing we can use in there"

Clark and Nick are in a very special place. I hope for all that have young kids out there you can experience that feeling someday.
