Just back from the game, and let's not forget what a big time game Walt Offutt had. Hitting all his threes, going to the rack and playing big time D. Give it up for Walt.

EVERYONE contributed. There's another team on the floor out there which is pretty good. But our guys are playing some fine, smart, team ball.
Viewing the interviews (Coach, Walt, Smith, Stevie) that someone posted, well, OUr lads are smart, well-spoken. What they are in person is what you get on the court.
Think back about what everyone seemed to think about Big Reg before the season started and over the first 2-3 games. There was question about his production, about a failure to progress. Think about now. Dude's a stalwart.

Bump -- important points here that shouldn't get lost in the haze of Sweet 16 euphoria.

In my opinion, Walter Offut is the difference maker in this tourney run we're having. DJ Cooper is going to get his shots and points and the other guys all contribute, but you need another reliable player to score and make plays and he's been the one.

Without Walt, our dancing days would have been very short lived. He stepped up right when we needed him most and his tough badassedness (honey badger don't care!) has rubbed off on the rest of the team.
Keep it up, Walt!

Not just about him. Someone posted after one of our early games that Ricardo Johnson and TJ Hall were essentially just bodies. Both have been huge this season. Groce has talked about Walt changing the culture. IMO these two guys are the keys to keeping that culture alive after next year. You ask anybody involved in a program that is successful over a long period of time and the team leaders always talk about learning from the guys that were on the team when they were there. Joe Gibbs tells a similar story about why the Redskins were good for over a decade. The team turned over it's roster a number of times but the same work ethic remained the same because the leaders passed it on and the new guys bought it. Hopefully that's what we have happening right now.

I've seen players get better between seasons before, but the leap that TJ Hall made starting when Ricardo Johnson (who in my opinion was a very key cog for us coming off the bench) went out with back issues for a couple of games, and which has continued throughout the postseason has been stellar. Applause all around.

Walt = Honey Badger? (checks the Maths, carry the one, Calculus Abacus....)
Yes, the Maths confirm this fact.
