THis was intimated the days surrounding his firing. Gaining traction? Hmmmm I know they hate Lawry.

Wasn't Weber almost the coach at Miami one time? Any chance our buddies in Oxford make a play for him?

I heard a radio report while driving to a restaurant tonight here in Hilton Head that Shaka was getting cold feet on the Illinois deal.  Have no idea if the report is true.  It didn't really cite any sources.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-spt-0321-...

Article on the Smart situation discusses that it's good he hasn't said no but he still is clearly hesitant.  The good part of the story though is that according to the Tribune they want to hire a minority coach.  The article states that they believe the next candidates after Smart are, Alabama's Anthony Grand and Washington's Lorenzo Romar.  So maybe we will have another year with Groce at the helm.
