Following this league for years and never in its history have I heard any team gush about the rest of the league like the OHIO coaches and players have. Every article I read someone (DJ , Groce, Walt) is saying something about the MAC and calling names of players who are in OUr league and teams that have pushed us to get where we are.
I am not sure if this is part of the mentaility of respect or if the players and coaches really do have a healthy modicum of admiration and trepidation when playing our league opponents but they sure are selling the depth and toughness of the MAC.
When asked about Ty Zeller the other day Groce specifically went through Mavunga, Watt, Marshall et al and talked about those guys preparing our guys for where the tasks they have and will face.
I like it. Even when other fans detest us on their boards they should be bright enough to take the compliments.

When it comes to Akron and Kent, they usually try to hand us the same old ship.
