Marshall led the nation in assists, but I think certainly he had more to work with offensively. Cooper is more of a scorer, but Marshall didn't have to score. It's hard to compare in some ways, but I'd easily take Cooper.

Kendall Marshall is a projected lottery pick by some websites this season if he comes out early.

All I know is that I wouldn't trade DJ for any other PG in the country at this point.

Kendall Marshall is a future NBA lottery pick.

The main reason people don't talk about DJ Cooper as a legit NBA prospect is because he was shooting 28% from the 3pt line. Over the last 8 games he is a 40% 3pt shooter. I think if he duplicates that all next year, he'll have a shot to get drafted.

ESPN twitter:

Ohio guard D.J. Cooper has scored or assisted on 71 of Bobcats’ 127 points (55.9 pct), that's the highest pct of any player left in field
