First, the Twitter handle
@kbutterswrist was created, a humorous way to show support for injured point guard Kendall Marshall, aka
@KButter5, who fractured his right wrist Sunday night.
Now, there's the
#PassFir5t hashtag, a far-reaching movement that has truly touched Marshall. North Carolina fans are
writing the No. 5 on their wrists and
posting pictures on Twitter. And the movement isn't limited to men, women or children. A
canine or
two is even involved.
There's a
Facebook page, and the
@PassFir5t handle had more than 1,000 followers as of Tuesday night.
"Thanks to everyone supporting the #PassFir5t Movement," Marshall tweeted. "You guys don't realize how much it means to me."
