Why are you assuming we're all rooting for either one? If it ain't the Bobcats, I don't care.

I have relatives who graduated from both, but UC hates fiami, and that is what unites us at family reunions

OSU has Groce's very close friend, Thad Matta, and Jeff Boals.

Not to mention, Craft, Sullinger, etc. seem like pretty good guys and don't do as pictured above.

I have lived among out-of-state opposing fan bases for a while. They are loud and obnoxious and I still find myself picking sides based on the actual people involved in the contest.

Every fan base has an equal percentage of morons, but small bases just have fewer raw numbers.

I second that, one for my own reason - I'm from a Bearcat fan household.   Two, because I tend to believe that when all schools in Ohio put dents in OSU's image, it leaves a door open for all other schools amongst us to take some of that sports fan real estate.

As a side note, calling ALL the UC kids "thugs" because of that incident is ridiculous.  One in particular doesn't have a defense for his actions.  He has, however, been a model citizen since that incident.  And if you're going to put UC kids into that category, you have to put some past players from OUr school into that category as well. (thankfully no current players that I'm aware of fall into that)

Cinci isn't considered thugs because of one incident... they've built up that reputation from a history of thuggery, dating back tothe Huggins' days.

Gotta go with Ohio State in this one.

I can understand not wanting to cheer for UC, but to cheer for OSU?!?!  That is disgusting.

Godon Gee frequently includes the following in his speeches:  I tell students if they want a good education come to Ohio State and if they want to party go to Ohio University.

Nobody with Ohio ties should root for them.

I'm feeling the hate from some Ohio A&M fans on facebook. Someone posted a status wondering why UC and OSU don't play every year. I commented that Ohio A&M has avoided playing UC like the plague and linked to a story about it in the PD.

Immediately I was jumped on by a bunch of arrogant OSWho fans. Even more reason to root for the Bearcats.

Does he really say that? I'd like to see a link to that. I already don't like him but that's beyond the pale.

If you're tying these guys back to some of the guys that Bobby used to bring around, you're demonstrating ignorance of the team.  Mick Cronin has made a tremendous difference in cleaning up the program, their reputation, and their graduation rates. While I grant you the brawl was an ugly scene, no longer are they a team of "thugs" as the old reputation used to be.

You forgot the "Teams get into giant brawl and NCAA disqualifies both from Elite Eight, replacing them with an all-star team coached by Charlie Coles" button.

As always, I root for a good game with an exciting finish. If Ohio played the winner, I might be rooting for Ohio State, since I find them eminently more beatable right now. If Buford isn't scoring, Ohio State is in many ways a dysfunctional team. UC just seems like it's willing to do anything and everything to win right now. But they are susceptible to a bad perimeter shooting night.

I think it'll be a whizbang game. I don't care who wins, though.

I'd prefer neither of them win, but considering the position we're in, the route we've taken in this tournament (through Michigan), and the past history we have with A&M, everyone should want Cinci to win for the sake of Ohio.  Can you imagine the press and brand recognition Ohio would receive if we make it farther than A&M?  Obviously, beating UNC would be a huge accomplishment in and of itself, but that combined with making it farther than A&M would be priceless.  Joe A&M's head would explode.
