A fun read:

"Travel note: You can buy a Ruger 9 mm pistol next door to the Subway in Nelsonville, Ohio. I passed."

Reading about OS-Who makes me laugh.  Seriously, who could care more about spring football than a shot at the Final Four?

Thanks for posting. I love reading Pat Forde but have trouble finding him/remembering to find him now that he's at YahooSports

One of the best in the biz. I love Pat FOrde's slant on things ... I  only wish I could have helped him drive on this trip. How cool. I may write him and invite him back for Dads weekend......

I don't believe it. The ozone.net is the only OSU forum I know of that combines football and basketball discussion into one forum and 95% of the conversation is about the Sweet 16 game with UC, the Illinois job, Michigan's transfers + Burke (NBA) and Hoke's "Ohio" egg in face.

Forde's research of OSU consisted of talking to the guy below. Yeah. I'm sure he has his finger on the pulse of the Buckeye fan base.

Let's face it.  The school in columbus has Athens envy, with many of its fans disdaining the jr institution and rooting instead for the 'Cats.  What color is columbus?  Green and White.

Agreed, but it would have been better using Groce's favorite word, a bald bundle of TOUGHNESS

Simply overstated.   I haven't heard anyone in Columbus mention spring football yet.  However, Urban Meyer's new Muirfield house got a picture and 8 or 9 paragraphs this morning on page 2.

Anyone know where Frank lives?

I do actually, but only because I'm friends with one of the professors who lives in the "neighborhood."

My question is, why would he go from Cincy to Athens, then to C-bus, then all the way back to Lexington? Why not hit the Cincy-UK area, then go to OSU and end the night on Court St., where every good day should end?

If he had known then what he knows now I'm certain he would have ended on Court St.

If you read his article closely you could see he was trying to hit up the teams' open media times if he could.  It seemed like the cities he didn't do that for were those in which he had contacts.  If he wanted to come to Athens why would he come at a time when he couldn't talk to the team and in which the students are on Spring Break?

He also mentioned the fact that we're on spring break right now, if we were in session I'm sure he would've showed up to Court St.
