As far as I can recall just off the top of my head, we've only played two games in a dome before...winning both in Syracuse.

Is that it, or are there more I can't remember?

I believe that we have played 16 or so games in a dome already this year...

I thought this was going to be a discussion of how bad the domes are for BBall.  Has anyone ever been to a BBall game in a NFL dome before?  Is it ok?

I was at Edward Jones for a Bengals game this past year and was not impressed at all with the facility for football.  It may just be that I am a strong believer that football should be played outside in the elements.  I do know that the Rams agree that their stadium sucks because they are asking for a lot of changes or they may skip town again.

That's all I can remember/think of.

Although something called a Dean Dome was fun in 2002.

I once went to a Cards-Expos game in Montreal.  BORING!!!!  Like playing baseball in an abandoned warehouse.

The '09 Motor City Bowl was a bit weird, too.  Some sports were just meant to be played outdoors.  Probably just as strange as watching a b-ball game on the deck of an aircraft carrier.

Does the Sun Dome count? Ohio is 1-1 in NCAA games there.

Ah...beat me to it.  Looks like 1983 Sun Dome against Illinois State (W) and Kentucky (L).

YOu got me there I thought it was going to be a @JoeDomes twitter.

Cue the ensuing discussion on shooting in a dome

I listened to someone on the radio the other day talk about playing ina  dome and shooting....the commentary was that "only bad shooters are affected. Good shooters shoot the same at the Y, in the gym, In a dome or in the biggest dome of alllll...Outdoors...." Fairly prolific shooter doing the talking....I wil rack my brain and find that podcast.

I must say, from pics I've seen of other games, it looks pretty intimate for basketball even though it's a dome.

I've been to seven Final 4's over the last 10 or so years which have all been in domes (Atlanta, New Orleans, St Louis, Indianapolis, San Antonio).  Unfortunately every time we went we sat on the section that would extend past the temporary bleachers and in the upper deck .  If the court is centered on the 10 Yard line we were on the opposite 30.  We were always closer to the press row buffet line than the court.   It 's still a good time and I don't expect the dome will be any issue for the guys. From the court you can't see the opposite half of the dome so it doesn't seem as big as it really is.   The hoop is still 10' tall so that's all that really matters.

The room in STL is a big one and can flex to sell more tickets if needed. Is like the setup at Carrier Dome where hoops court is pushed down into one end of the field in a FB endzone, essentially.

Is pretty antiseptic in character, though. Had a good time in '99 there seeing Wally, UK, Oklahoma & UK.

I forget who ran the numbers, but there's zero evidence spacious domes affect shooting.

I can see the atmosphere messing with one's head a bit, though.

I saw an Indiana/Kentucky game in the RCA dome back when I was younger. If you happen to be an extended section, bring your binoculars, you will need them.

As Norman Dale told his team in Hooisers when they went to play for the State that the rim and free-throw line were the exact measurements as their gym in Hickory.  So, it doesn't matter how big the building is, the floor and rim are still the same.  So, let's play at a Dome or The Convo or Nationwide, we can WIN!!
