My UNC buddies were so uptight about this game, just goes to show being a perennial fan of an underdog is a great choice.  No expectations, total enjoyment thanks to DJ, Walt, Ivo, Nick, John and the rest! 

Bet we had the MAC behind us tonight!

I don't care about the loss.. Yea, if not for a free throw here or there, or if not for the first half shooting, what could have been. But. BUT: I'm so d***ed proud of how we played tonight, just played out of our minds, out of bodies. fOUght and fOUght and fOUght and made it to the sweet [bleeping] 16 (no seniors) AND took a #1 seed to the first OT of the tournament! And we're the first 13+ seed to push a #1 seed to OT. I was literally crying tears of pride (at the game play, at the spirit) and joy listening to the 110 and the cheerleaders and crowd playing/singing Stand Up And Cheer after the game, in a loss. This crazy run had to end somewhere, I can't think of a finer, more heartbreaking, more heartwarming end than this one.

EDIT: Just wanted to say again, GREAT GAME, GREAT SEASON BOBCATS!

If you have something bad to say about this team, take it elsewhere.  What a GREAT season for our Bobcats!  We all would have loved to see them win this game, but the effort was UNREAL!  If the hunger remains, this is a Top 25 team next year.  Thank you Cats!  Unbelievable run!

This team team achieved the unthinkable this year and they let us dream about what is possible in the future for this basketball program. This team showed that it can play with the top of the Big Ten, Big East and ACC teams if given the chance. They didn't flinch all season and when eye to eye with college basketball royalty. Everybody knows about OHIO University now and they know we got one dam good basketball team. Millions saw the Bobcats take mighty Carolina to the brink. This team set a lot of records this season and I think they could be even better next season and the year after that. We are gonna very good the next two years.

hell I am just waiting for the football schedule to come out to decide how many season tickets to buy.  So excited for ALL of Ohio athletics.  What a year!

I will be upping my Bobcat Club membership ASAP.  Thinking monthly deduct would be the best route.  How can you not put more cash into this?!?!?  Go out to dinner once a month or support our sports in their climb?  That is a no-brainer.

Good thread, Gallia Cat. We had Bobcat fans packed into 3 bars in Chicago near Wrigley Field. It was like a mini-Court Street among Big Ten alum land.

Walking around Chicago afterward when the game was over with my OHIO gear, many people passing me would tell me what a great team and great game that was. They now know Ohio.

A Bowl win and Sweet 16 in the same school year? What more could you ask for?
