Why would I not want UNC to win it all now? I could care less about OSU.

Classy post!

Someone complements our performance and you think your reply is civil? Geez, grow up.

Win one more at least.  Can't stand Boeheim or Syracuse or the bozo who wrote that no teams from the state of Ohio would be in the final four.

OK, sorry I did not react better to a guy with one post who basically said Coop sucked and we would have won if he made one shot.  Plus, he adds that now we should root for the Buckeyes?!?!?  Really?!?!?  I have no problem not being "classy" in response to that guy.

I must admit that I was rooting for Wisconsin last night against Syracuse.  The refs handed them their first round victory against UNC-Asheville.  Two bad calls in the final minute or so sealed the deal for the ORANGEmen.  Syracuse didn't cheat, but they won that game in a way that they didn't deserve to.  I didn't want to see them advance, because they really shouldn't have been in that game against Wisconsin in the first place.  I really get upset when a low seed gets screwed by documented bad officiating.  Ohio A&M at least has won all of their tournament games in a legitimate fashion.

I was born in the state of Ohio, live in the state of Ohio, and God willing, will die in the state of Ohio.  If Ohio University cannot win it all, then I will root for Ohio State to do our state proud (iif only their d*** fans weren't so arrogant)

Thank you for the kind words after our tough loss.  I do respect the team OSU has this year, but I just can't bring myself to root for you to win it all (let's face it you already win enough).

People can cheer for whoever they want to, but I guess I'm just a one school guy when it comes to my rooting interests, and that school is Ohio University.  Same goes for the Browns, Cavs, and Indians.

In a situation like this I tend to root for the team that eliminated my team.  It would be nice to be able to say next year that we lost in OT to the team that won the National Championship.  This year I have a confounding factor is that my daughter's father in law is a big U of L fan and I've promised to root for them (unless they would have played OHIO again).   So, it's UNC all the way, unless they face U of L.

UNC's been my 2nd favorite team ever since I was little kid but at the moment I just find it hard to root for them.

Speaking of which, either Kidd-Gilchrist or Tyler Zellar would look good in a CAVS uniform next year!

As a lifetime central Ohioan; as an osu alum; as a sports fan who as a teenager used to walk to games at the 'shoe and sneek in for free; as someone surrounded by bucknuts at work, family gatherings, in the neighborhood, etc. . .; as a college hoops fan who doesn't care for Boeheim; I say go ORANGE!!

I could care less about O$U. We don't feel like there is any state fraternity. Lose, win, whatever. Who cares?

I don't really care about O$U being from Buffalo.

I'm very proud of what our bobcats did this year and am excited for the future. But just going to a Ohio school won't make me root for the Buckeyes.

Syracuse is one of my favorite teams behind Ohio and I will be rooting for them from here on out.

I would think every Bobcat fan would root for North Carolina the rest of the way.  Their success will only make our performance look that much better.

I just don't like UNC. No particular reason, I just have always rooted against them, unless they were playing a team I REALLY didn't like (Kentucky, for example, b/c if you want to hate a team for d***head fans, UK is the team to hate). So I look at it as a situation I can derive satisfaction from either way. If UNC does well, it's a positive reflection on us. And if they don't, well, then that makes me happy, too.

While I certainly understand the hatred of osu that many on this board have, I guess that's just not something I share (at least not in basketball), and I like to see local teams do well. If UC had won Thursday, I'd be rooting for them. If Xavier had won last night, I'd be rooting for them. I'm not going to lose any sleep or anything fretting about osu's games, and my employer will be much happier with my increased productivity this week, but of all the teams remaining, they're the one that I have the most vested interest in. So if I'm picking someone to root for from here on out, osu be it.

I wasn't born in Ohio but my Dad was and he went to Ohio State as did his dad, his sister and half his extended family.  With every fiber of my being I will be rooting for them to lose. "the" can suck it.

Coach  Williams just said at halftime of the UL vs. Florida contest that last night's game was "ugly."  Classy comment, huh?!!  The "ugly" part of last night's game was all of the Tarheel fouls that were overlooked by the officials. If the fouls HAD been called on them, Williams would still have been holding his head so tightly in his hands and wouldn't have been able to move his mouth enough to say "ugly."
