Is there another poll? Seems like that there should not be. I think we are in the only top sixteen that matters. Plus, we will be one of the last twelve teams to play this year.

If, prior to the tourney, we were in the "others receiving votes", even if it was only 1 vote, I would say then we would be a lock.....but from what I recall, not only were we not in that section, but I dont think there was anyone that we had played/beat (ie UNI, Marshall, etc) in that either.....so I would say that if we get ran off the court (which I do not think will happen) tommorrow we may not get all the way to the top 25, but I would think we are a definate lock for "others receiving votes" section, even getting the majority of the "other votes".
With our win tommorrow night....then its a lock!!!!!!!!

I believe they do one more poll after the tournament.

If a team with at least 29 wins and at least a trip to the Sweet 16 does not make the final poll, we should write a strongly worded letter to the pollsters.

Doubt it. Michigan win was good, but South Florida won't impress voters and we weren't on the radar a week ago.

The only thing less meaningful than the College Basketball poll is Bracketology.

Disagree, Tim. The recognition is beneficial. It's what today, for instance, is all about

I actually like the poll...during the season. It sparks conversation.
But a postseason poll? Why?

I don't think it's a lock but it's very likely. Although some voters go by a team's "body of work" (a phrase that has become really trite), for the most part the polls reflect a comparison of teams based on the overall record AND how they did this week. I think with 29+ wins, we should wind up at least in the low 20s. Of course, the deeper we go into the tourney, the higher we'll be ranked. You know, Michigone should be pulling for us the reach the final four so they won't drop out of the top 25 altogether. They were 13-14 in the latest poll, and if our upset had happened during the regular season they would probably be toast.

Living with the high expectations will be the challenge. Ohio will have a huge bullseye in the conference. If any team can handle the pressure its this one

Great point. I think they relish the bulls-eye. This is the one.

Making the sweet 16, and taking a #1 seed to OT, yes, I'd say there's a very good chance of this.

I don't know. I still think it's a bit unlikely coaches put us in end-of-season Top 25. No obligation for them to put all the Sweet 16 teams in there. (And there's no postseason AP poll.) Anyway, surely there's a decent chance of preseason Top 25 next year... especially if Groce stays. Please stay, John!!!

Yes - I could easily see pre-season Top 25 next year, but how quickly they forget. I'd say last poll this year is a better bet. They will have to earn it all over next year.
