MAC had the best record in bowls this year of any conference. Could they repeat that in basketball with the best winning percentage in the Big Dance? Well, if Louisville wins it all, the final records will be:

MAC 2-1 .667
Big East 16-8 .667 (currently 14-8)
Southeastern 8-4 .667 (current 8-3)
Big Ten 11-6 or 12-6, .647 or .667 depending on Ohio State-Kansas game (currently 11-5)
Big 12 10-6 or 9-6 .625 or .600, depending on Ohio State-Kansas game (currently 9-5)

If Kentucky wins it all, Southeastern ends 10-3, with the MAC second. If Ohio State wins, Big Ten ends up 13-5, and the MAC would be tied for second or in third depending on the Ky-Louisville game. If Kansas wins it, Big 12 ends up 11-5, and again the Ky-Louisville game determines if the MAC is tied with the southeastern for 2d, or a shade behind in third.

I usually see people look at the NCAA only, but I agree, the other MAC teams didn't do well in the other tournaments.
