One senior on the roster; will be interesting to see who he takes with him.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the FAU coach is going to suddenly bust out with “Hey, why don't you have a seat? I'm Chris Hansen from...”

Not so fast. He staying.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/dusty-m... /

"Extensive overhauls are coming this offseason and in the years to follow to FAU's basketball arena, athletic offices and multi-sport facility, White said. Earlier this season, the men's basketball program received a $7.5 million gift that hasn't been used yet. That money will allow further upgrades and updates to the Owls' aging facilities. In total, approximately $11 million has been raised for the basketball programs in the past two seasons at FAU, and more than $15 million is available to be spent in the months and years to come."

Yeah, that always holds.

There's just a lot more money available in Florida than Southern Ohio for projects.

Appears I might have been right on this one.

The habit of guessing who’s going where before any actual facts are known is an interesting pastime here on BA. Makes for good entertainment, if you take it for the comedy that it is.

One of these things is true.

1) FAU plans on joining the Big East soon.
2) May is a literal mid-major unicorn who will shun $ for love of school.
3) He gone.

Regardless of what everyone is saying now, I'm betting on #3 unless a combination of #1 an #2 are true.

“You don’t mess with happy.” I think he’s staying. Also, his salary is going over $1 million, maybe significantly above that. And…now that he took FAU to Final Four and maybe more, he has job security above almost anything. His salary won’t be going down, so he could honestly likely make millions of dollars every year the rest of his career. Next school won’t care about his FAU success. He will start over, just with a larger (possibly temporary) paycheck.

Tough loss for FAU. Refs called the game tight down the stretch and loaded FAU with questionable fouls. May should have not called a play for an inside shot and instead passed around the perimeter until the shot clock was down to nothing then had 3 guys in the box to try and pick up the offensive rebound.

FAU should have played for a layup or foul on their last possession. It might have been better to let the shot clock expire. Then they can set up their defense. What I don’t know is if that happened, do they take the ball out under the basket or at mid court? But give it to SDSU. Perfect form and rotation on the winning shot.
