Absolutely. We would have been the lowest seed in Elite 8 history as well, I believe. Would be a truly ironic moment for decades.
Yep. We were a 13 that year. As of 2012 the highest seeded elite 8 was Missouri as a 12 in 2002. That was tied by Oregon St in 2021 and then of course blown away by St Peter's last year as a 15.

Princeton could tie it this year.

Had we been able to retain John Groce after the two tournament wins in 2012 who knows? But now with NIL and transfers being immediately eligible it's highly unlikely.
