Is this not yet open / where is it? I know they have a "store" of sorts downtown but didn't think it was a restaurant establishment.

It would be nice if the Cincinnati location is somewhere north of downtown. The people who would go to this are living in Mason, Blue Ash, Loveland, West Chester, etc. Move it up there or at least Hyde Park or Montgomery. And if you must go downtown, somewhere other than the boathouse.

i like the boathouse for Cincinnati. i suspect the alumni in west chester or mason might be too busy (family, work, etc) to attend a caravan. as a loveland grad i didnt know many folks from my area who went to athens.

downtown in more centrally located for those in kenton, campbell, boone and western hamilton co. and those in downtown, otr and hyde park and hyde park (near)

i suspect the quick access to 32E is a nice benefit for the herd to get back home quicker.

Then 50 West would be perfect! They've even made a Hot Nut-inspired stout at one point called Oh You Oh Yeah.

Is this a debut caravan for Pickerington? Wondering why have one in Pickerington when there is always the caravan one county over in Columbus.

A more central location like MadTree would be perfect for that. The boathouse is such a chore to get to.

That's their beer? It's a fine beverage! For some reason I thought it was a Cle based brewery that made it.

There are at least 7 Bobcat households on my street in Pickerington alone.

Yeah, I understand moving it out of downtown with fewer people working in offices, but something like Independence would have made infinitely more sense than Medina, which is damn far for just about everyone in Cuyahoga County. Bad call for sure.

Agree. The Boathouse location makes no sense to me. Mad Tree would be great.

The "store" was temporary until they started building. It's in the spot where Elevator Brewing was on 4th near Pins and Wolf's Ridge. Had to wait on city permits to build into the parking lot, do construction on a historical building, ride the COVID wave, etc etc

They now have a pretty massive, two-story bar, and incredible looking patio space.

It's gonna be incredible when it opens. "Soon"

Brought to you by the same people who put the Coliseum in Richfield. Equally inconvenient for everyone.

I could say the same of my street in Worthington. But only 1 of those houses (it's me) would even consider going to a Bobcat caravan, and the rest of them are just up the ass of Ohio State.

You could look at it really cynically and say that someone realized they could trim about 45 minutes of driving each way between "Cleveland" and Athens. I always try to make this event but Medina adds roughly 40 miles round trip for me compared to downtown.

Most accurate description of most of my friends from Tipp City to Marion to toledo to Athens. Hundreds of my friends have NO connection to State whether work, school, kids or anything else. Never been on campus or to a game but they worship at the Altar. "Up the Ass" is the most accurate description I have ever seen. Observed this since grade school but I still do not understand it. When they saw a pic of the grandson with Coach Holtmann on my FB page folks who had never commented made a big deal of it and got all excited despite lil fella's Maine shirt. Weird.

Hegemony and success are powerful drugs. Americans like "winners" and in a state with only one P5 school for most of our lifetimes, it's really not a big surprise that they suck all the air out of the room.

This is even more pronounced in the last 20 or so years because title contention is the only thing that's worthy of respect to many people. You see it in the NBA, with "losers" like Damian Lillard, load management and anything short of a title being a failed season. It's bizarre to me but it's reality for most.
