All of the red might be behind the covered part of the logo. I didn't know Texas Tech released its schedule but I am not surprised. I also wondered about playing the first leg of a home and home with a Horizon League school when we have already done that with Detroit. But this logo is probably wider than it is tall and has a back outline with a right angle in the upper left and probably a white outline inside the black. YSU seems to be the best fit for this in D1. Since it is away we can bank on it being a D1 opponent.
The fact that we have to even try and decipher the schedule like this is ridiculous. Just release the full schedule.
I agree. I don't understand why you would post most games that you have in hand and not all. I don't know if some games are still verbal without a signed contract or if the other school doesn't want any part of their schedule released. I have obviously never worked in an athletic department so I don't know how any of this works. But my guess is that they have most of the schedule but haven't settled on a game, possibly the annual non-D1 game, so they don't have a full schedule to release and are playing this game. One square has no date so I am guessing there is at least one unsettled game.
I am not going to bet on it at, say, 1:100 odds like I would that that's at least Chicago State's logo covered on the picture on twitter, but I spent 15 or 20 minutes messing with a graphic editor and stand by YSU. Its tough because if you resize a right angle you still get a right angle. It is hard to be definitive. There are certainly several D1 logos that have a black then white outline at a right angle in the upper left corner. You can throw out Marshall and Texas Tech as a possibility but I don't think any others have the right combination of line thickness and aspect ratio to fit.
If you resize YSU's primary "Y" logo so the black lines are the same thickness as what is on the twitter pic then it ends up centered with the bottom of the "Y" about where you would expect. Also, the red part of the logo, just barely, would not show up on the twitter pic.
To prove my point.
