There are a couple that look like they don't know yet. The game before Marshall and maybe the game on or around 12/21. The exhibition has to be Capital. 11/7 is Belmont. 12/14 is supposed to be Florida. There are logos behind 12/11 and 12/29 but we don't know of any source letting those known.

As soon as I say the above, we get Florida in Tampa.

12/29 looks like a green-ish/turquoise logo. Tulane/UNC Wilmington?

Also, on the last schedule update via Twitter, there are now two games listed without an (a) away or an (h) for home so, we may have two games at neutral sites instead of just one (Florida)…

Go Bobcats!

Good eye, I’d be more excited about this if it were an away game since I live in Chicago. Otherwise, meh.

That would be pretty disappointing.

Eastern Illinois
Alabama State
Chicago State

You are talking about three of the worst basketball programs in the country. I can understand one game like this, but not three.

Didn't a couple of these teams make their respective conference tournaments?

Wow. Florida is a very winnable game for us.

Great catch. I actually overlaid the Chicago State logo over the twitter picture to a basically perfect fit. If the hidden logos are the actual schedule logos than OUr last OOC game is against Chicago State.

My stab at December 11 is YSU. My 2nd guess is Texas Tech.

I can’t see us going on the road to YSU (+ no red) and Tech already released its schedule.

All of the red might be behind the covered part of the logo. I didn't know Texas Tech released its schedule but I am not surprised. I also wondered about playing the first leg of a home and home with a Horizon League school when we have already done that with Detroit. But this logo is probably wider than it is tall and has a back outline with a right angle in the upper left and probably a white outline inside the black. YSU seems to be the best fit for this in D1. Since it is away we can bank on it being a D1 opponent.

The fact that we have to even try and decipher the schedule like this is ridiculous. Just release the full schedule.

I agree. I don't understand why you would post most games that you have in hand and not all. I don't know if some games are still verbal without a signed contract or if the other school doesn't want any part of their schedule released. I have obviously never worked in an athletic department so I don't know how any of this works. But my guess is that they have most of the schedule but haven't settled on a game, possibly the annual non-D1 game, so they don't have a full schedule to release and are playing this game. One square has no date so I am guessing there is at least one unsettled game.

I am not going to bet on it at, say, 1:100 odds like I would that that's at least Chicago State's logo covered on the picture on twitter, but I spent 15 or 20 minutes messing with a graphic editor and stand by YSU. Its tough because if you resize a right angle you still get a right angle. It is hard to be definitive. There are certainly several D1 logos that have a black then white outline at a right angle in the upper left corner. You can throw out Marshall and Texas Tech as a possibility but I don't think any others have the right combination of line thickness and aspect ratio to fit.

If you resize YSU's primary "Y" logo so the black lines are the same thickness as what is on the twitter pic then it ends up centered with the bottom of the "Y" about where you would expect. Also, the red part of the logo, just barely, would not show up on the twitter pic.

To prove my point.

Youngstown has also already released their schedule, though I wouldn't be mad about playing them in our building. (It's also not a bad drive if we had to throw in a week day road game. Think a lot of OU fans would show up as well)

Like I've been bemoaning, I'd rather play a regional 'rival' than Stetson or Saint Francis, Concordia, Mount St Marys, USC Upstate...

I only see that they released their conference schedule. It starts for them in early December but has a three week gap in mid-December.

It takes two to tango, and we have to play somebody. I'm ok with a few softballs on the schedule, as long as we win them. Everything to lose, nothing to gain sort of thing. Kind of like why larger programs won't come here to play us.

Yeah, that leaves Florida as only covered game that we have already discerned by some method.

It is interesting that the Chicago State got moved from Thur. Dec. 29 to Fri. Dec 30 from the last update. Also, the date got removed from the exhibition and the game that was Dec. 21. This is still making the think that these covered games are verbally committed but not actually signed with every last detail hammered out and the two games that we had not figured out may still not even be verbally committed like I guessed a few days ago. However, I, of course, really still have no idea why they are doing it this way. That's still just a guess.

The last two that we don't know about seem to be open spots we have not yet scheduled. There is no date attached to those events nor is there a home/away designation. All other December dates have some of the date showing due to the length of the word December. I'm guessing the last two are not anywhere near complete.

Pretty wild to think about considering we’re almost at Labor Day.
