You gotta love this one:

@20Ricj - "I wish the best for Groce, but if we see them in the NCAA tournament in the near future I'm tying to be them by 20 hah"

NICE!! If all the players feel that way and we get a high quality coach, Ohio can do some real serious damage next year!!! I'm still on the Ohio bandwagon!! (I never left)

LOL ... that's the spirit, Ric!

The players really seem to be taking this well and handling it in a mature way ... moreso than some of us. The attitude they're displaying is making me feel better about the whole thing.

This one is great too:

@OUOffutt3 - "S/O to all my new followers as well as #bobcatnation y'all be so supportive were gonna come together to do even more than we did this year!"

http://thepost.ohiou.edu/content/players-pledge-remain-ohio-after-coach%E2%80%99s-exit

“I’m going to try my best to stick it out for Kadeem and tell him what’s going on because, obviously, he just got here,” Offutt said. “He’s new to the program. He doesn’t really know a lot of people. It’s imperative that we let him know what’s going on and really keep him together.”

Walter Offutt makes it really easy to like him.

DJ might be the "engine" for this team in-game, but Walt is the "heart and soul" which holds this team together on a 24/7 basis IMO.

I think a lot of the "culture change" of our team came to Athens with that young man.

I wholeheartedly agree. Walt is a natural leader, on and off the court, it makes sense why he is majoring in Sports Management. A friend of mine before the tournament said "Walter Offutt will be the Stephen Curry of this year's tournament" and, I gotta say, he almost was in that game against UNC. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have been anywhere close. I'm really thankful to have him on OUr team.

Groce said as much on several occasions.

Walt should be named a grad assistant as soon as we get back from Atlanta next year.

Walt will be too busy getting prepared for the NBA Draft, particularly if we are coming back from Atlanta.

I think the team will be far stronger next season after going thru the NCAA tournament. They know they are good enough to get the job done and its all about focus with them. They proved they can play with any team in the country. This team will be exciting next year and will be one of the top bracketbusters next year.
