Let's make this easier to read the take - I think I know who likely get's 1st, but who's on deck?

I'd like to request a button for "Whomever Schaus deems the best option".

My faith is in OUr AD and I trust he'll make the right decision.

Well - he could start his own poll then I guess - but I think only one vote would be allowed (though sure McDavis could offer advice) .........

But this poll is for BA'ers. I certainly think this - Boals getting the job will create A LOT of excitement. I can't imagine anyone coming into this position with more strong support right out of the gate. He bled Green & White before, left all he had on the floor every game. I bet he has green Kool-Aid in the fridge at this moment - ready to serve to BobcatNation to drink up, and drink they will (well, apparently not in the Rohr Room next year - or maybe they will drink "until they are green"). His credentials are perfect for what we need now - there has Never been a new coach candidate like this that if comes in we maybe don't miss a beat........from the team, community, University, fans........

And Shaus (or whatever AD is here in 1, 3, 5 years?), if they do this right, actually go into this with a true "build sustainable program growth contract", and commit to that, we could be looking at the next Coach with his name on a banner in the rafters of the Convo........

Obviously - I am very excited about this possibility - pretty much would extinguish Any and All anxiety I have had about Groce moving on over the last week since back from St. Louis.......

Why is Boals qualified and is he better than JG was when he came to Ohio?

In my opinion he is exactly as qualified as Groce was when he came to Athens, with Boals having the advantage of being an Ohio grad.

Boals had a great deal to do with Ohio State's last 2 recruiting classes.  That alone should be a HUGE check mark next to his name.

Throw in the fact that he's been involved in high level competition and is currently in the middle of a Final Four run alongside the Ohio alum part, and that really should be all that we need to know.

How do you cast a write-in vote?

I vote for former Western Kentucky coach Darrin Horn. (even though he has no real chance)

I like Richard Pitino over Boals and this is why, Pitino has had the tour of high profile programs, but it seems like loyalty is important to them. Sure dad went to the NBA, but now he has stuck with UofL for a much longer time than I ever expected.

If we can get him in and steadily increase pay with his successes so he is in a position to stay, then he'll stay.

Boals seems too much like Groce 2.0 to me and will move on to greener pastures, not that I would blame him, but the angst to have to go through that again is ridiculous when it can be prevented.

You think Pitino would stay longer than Boals? What connection does he have to the university? He is an attention whore just like his dad who will jump to the next gig before the ink is even dry on our contract. Boals at least played here and has some ties. Much better chance he would stay longer than Pitino.

Wasn't that Jack Nicholson's character from The Witches of Eastwick?

That would be interesting if Dickerson get's the Fiami job - ZERO votes on here!

Wonder if they are even considering Boals?
