I can't  wait to see his entire compensation package.
This coach will be under huge pressure for next year.
No rebuilding neccessary, just managing a great team to continue to excel.
Then recruit to replace next years 4 seniors, big holes to fill.
If we step backwards then the pressure on both coach & AD will be ramped up.
I also can't wait to see his 1st year schedule.
I'm still not sold on this decision.

I think the schedule was almost completed under Coach Groce.

Well, if the sources are correct, an article posted in the big Christian thread said 600k/per and 5 uses of a charter jet for the season, as well as locker room rennovations. All this with an almost 9 mill budget deficit.

Looks like they are banking on this to make more money for the university through higher enrollment and even NCAA monies, if we stay successful.

If you pay someone 300K and they fail you lose. If you get the right guy and he get 600K it's money well spent.

They have the right guy,     there will be changes in personnel, players etc, there always is. We can't assume all of the scholarship players on the squad will be there next fall.  Some will leave because they don't agree with the new guy and some will be told to leave because they aren't very good.

There is no sense bringing in someone like Antigua from UK and pay him 350K and have him leave in three years for a better gig.  If Antigua fails then you are back to square one.

Christian is as close to a sure thing as there is and the AD made the right call at the right time.

Will Ohio also be increasing the assistants salary? Could be one of the main items that would keep Dustin on staff - although I think he is good as gone.
