I'm not saying that Ernie Banks' situation is directly relevant to today. I'm just pointing out that some sports figures in the past have possessed the quality known as loyalty and that Mr. Bank's is a sterling example. Ernie was my childhood idol, and he just recently sent me an autographed baseball, so he was on my mind when I read this thread. I personally wish we had more professional athletes with the wonderful outlook on life of Mr. Cub.
