I want to thank everyone who reached out to me and showed interest. There were several people I felt were worthy and deciding who would be the new owner was tough. In the end though I selected KyleWvr13 based on the following PM and under the condition that it always stay in Athens and is passed on again when he graduates.
I think it is a great story of Bobcat pride and is a prime example of the kinds of fans the university needs more of...

Well, since you're giving away your absolutely beautiful beer pong table, I thought I would take a stab at seeing if I am a "worthy" candidate.
I am a current junior attending Ohio University with two more years to go (hooray 5 year plan!), and I, to simply put it, would kill to have this table. My story of how I became a Bobcat fan is pretty interesting. If you're not in the mood for a long read, I would suggest coming back and reading it when you are, but If you're more concerned about the table's well being, then I would skip to the second to last paragraph and read on from there.
I grew up in a suburb outside of Philadelphia, not ever having heard of Ohio University until my junior year in high school. During my senior year, I applied and was accepted to Ohio University. Having never actually gone to the campus, I thought I would take a visit. Even when I arrived in Athens in the middle of January, where the windchill cut through straight to the bone, I was instantly struck by the beauty of the campus. I felt like I was home. Not that "home away from home" feeling, but I actually felt like I had returned to someplace familiar and welcoming, like being reunited with a lost friend. Needless to say, I had made up my mind of where I wanted to go to school before the tour had even started.
While on my visit, my Dad insisted that we went to the basketball game that Saturday against BG. I was not a sports fan at the time, but after much coercing, he convinced me to go. Let me tell you, from the moment I stepped into the Convo, I was in awe. From the shear amount of fans there (It was fairly above average normal attendance from what I remember), and the pure dedication and spirit of the students, the 110, and the attending fans alike, I was instantly attached to the team and community in a way that I had never felt before. Even though we ended up losing after a frustrating shooting cold-streak in the last minute of the game, I fell in love with the Bobcats. Once I got home, I looked up everything I could about the team, and watched the rest of the games that I could on TV and followed gamecasts online to the ones that weren't aired.
My time here as a student has been filled with passion for the Basketball team. During my freshman and sophomore year, I went to every home game, save for the ones during winter break. I've been to Oxford every year to watch them play and I have also been to every MAC tournament game the Bobcats were in since 2010. I also had the extremely fortunate opportunity to attend both the Nashville and St. Louis games for the NCAA tournament. I feel like my passion for OUr team, while most would consider it obsessive, is unmatched by most, especially by my students peers.
If you are at all concerned about the table's safety and well-being (which judging by the extreme excruciating attention to detail and the fact that it is signed by several Bobcat players, I wouldn't blame you), you can cast those fears aside. My roommates and I do not host large parties, we're just not the type that like to deal with anything else more than a small get-togethers of 5-8 people. Both my roommates are also huge Ohio athletics fans, and this would be a priceless item to add to our already extensive collection of football, basketball, baseball, and 110 memorabilia. I also have a truck, and am more than willing to travel a far distance in order to retrieve this table.
Anyway, I'm sorry that I gave you a massive wall of text to sift through, but I couldn't help myself fully explain why I would absolutely love to have this pong table. And if you end up selecting someone else, I'll be glad because I know they will be just as deserving to own such a great piece of Bobcat pride.
Sincerely,
KyleWvr13
