Less than 5%. I would put Marshall's chances above DJ's.

It's pretty slim. He would have to drastically improve his shooting percentage. You also have to consider his self-assessment that he wasn't all that great at Chris Paul's camp. Also, consider the good point guards who didn't get picked last night in a draft with very few foreign players: Scott Machado, Tu Holloway, Casper Ware, J'Covan Brown, Jordan Taylor, Reggie Hamilton.

DJ is listed as the 59th pick on Jeff Goodman's mock draft released today. Goodman didn't account for the 10 or so Euro draft-and-stash players in the 2nd round though, so we'll see how that plays out.

5-10%...He would need to have a big senior year, namely a good shooting year.  But he'll definitely be a hot commodity overseas.

I hope we can market or bring attention to the career milestones for Assists and Steals Cooper is on track to achieve.

Currently through 3 seasons DJ has 692 assists and 259 steals. If he achieves the statistical average of his first 3 seasons his senior year he will finish with 923 assists and 345 steal.

923 career assists would put Cooper 12th all time in the NCAA record books behind Gary Payton with 939 at 11th and Doug Gottlieb at 10th with 947. With a slightly better than average year DJ could finish in the top 10.

345 steals would put Cooper 8th all time but he'll need to finish at 6th or better to beat Bonzi Wells who has the MAC record with 347.

Has there ever been a player to finish his college career in the top 10 in both categories? It would be real exciting if we went into next March with a strong record and Cooper within reach of some impressive personal benchmarks

He is on pace to finish with more than 2,000 points and 900 assists. He would be the third player in NCAA history to accomplish this behind Gary Payton and Sherman Douglass.

I'd say the chances are really slim. He just doesn't have an NBA body which is really damning when you don't have a consistent outside shot.

I have a client who is an NBA scout and has seen Cooper play. He told me they don't like his size and question his ability to get his shot off in the NBA. If he improves on his shot he has a chance to make a team as a free agent. They like his moxy and toughness. A long shot to get drafted. If the right team works him out, he could stick.

I agree with some others.
His chances will improve with an improved shooting %, and that includes from 3.
I would say that even if he shoots an incredible 50% from the field he would still be some what of a reach for being drafted.
He can't overcome his size handicap.

Europe.  Who knows, we may see his name in the Real Estate section in ten years!  It is obviously lucrative if you have the talent and he does.
